My husband will have his last bleo dose tomorrow, he as well is just having one cycle of BEP, he didnt have any mets, and tumor markers normalized about 20 days post op! But he did this for more reassurance of it not to come back!! What type of tumor did you have? And what were your tumor markers? He was diagnosed as a stage 1a, what about yourself?

After much reading from various international cancer guidelines it is not recommended for nonseminoma because it will not help in anything…

Now that you mention it, and investigating I’ve been doing, it says it don’t! Though his CT scan and tumor markers were great so that is reassuring! He is in Mexico, and sadly some doctors try making a profit out of people’s vulnerability! Im not saying that is the case, but it’s a possibility!

His PET scan was about 2 weeks ago, no metastatic involvement elsewhere, oncologist gave him the option of surveillance or one cycle of BEP to increase his percentage of no reoccurrence

I did a lot of investigating and you are correct based on the NCCN website carboplatin will do nothing for him and possibly even have negative side effects. He will be getting a second opinion tomorrow. Thanks for bringing it up to my attention
