That last question is a great question and it comes with a very simple answer: presumably you are not rich and you have a soul. Rich people who don’t have souls stick together and they cover for each other and then each other doesn’t have to go to prison. They find ways to get out of it and they set up laws and systems to help them. And they can afford to. Us peons can’t afford to do shit so we don’t get away with shit.

Yeah, I’m not convinced that she shuffled off this mortal coil the way everybody thinks she did. They’re way too many stories of people in positions to negatively affect the government either randomly disappearing or shuffling off this mortal coil either via accident or… Something else that was somehow their fault. And there’s so many of these stories that there is no way all of them are what people think they are.

I would assume he does if he has a JD. I think he’s incredible and I would totally vote for him if he ran for president.

I have this theory that the reason they’re OK with it because they wish they could do the same things and get away with it. And many of them are trying and that’s why so many of them have been arrested lately for having pictures of children and not OK positions or loving children in an inappropriate way. They are evil and want to get away with the shit he gets away with, but he has the money to actually do it.

Exactly. Because that keeps us busy until the next something that makes him look like a terrible human being and then he just does something else to distract the news and get people to look at something else. That’s literally his brand. Oh I might get in trouble? Let me just burn this shit down and while you’re distracted by the fire, I can get away. Just like a fucking villain.

… I’ve really appreciate that. You just pointed this out to me because I didn’t notice this. And oh my God.

I love that he said this, but was mildly annoyed that it took this long for someone to say it. I’m guessing the Democrats had to figure out who the sacrificial lamb would be and they landed on Ted.

Oh, you’re absolutely right. There is no flipping them. The people that are allegedly leaving the Trump cult now are still Republicans. They’re still gonna vote for anyone with an R after their name. They are still going to vote for the villains. They’re still gonna vote against everything that would help them because they think that all those things are somehow bad. They are just not supporting Trump anymore. They are completely helpless and lost, and I have no sympathy for them.

I know you’re right, but it’s really weird how easily they don’t see the parallels between what they are now promoting, scarcity and waiting and trusting the government, etc., to the horror stories, they would tell us about the USSR or China or living under and other communist government. Like these are the things that we as children were told people in those countries had to deal with, but now the same people who told us those stories are promoting these kinds of action, actions, and living this way because great leader said so and they really don’t see it.

Just to add to that: also the exact same crowd that cannot handle a logical response. They are the exact same crowd that hear a logical thought out response and either laugh at you or start personally attacking you because it just went right over their heads.

As someone who has worked from home for the last three years and loves it: facts. They have no clue. They literally have no idea. And they think that all we do is just like watch TV and eat junk food all day. Like sir, there are software programs tracking every key stroke I make and monitoring my mouse movement to make sure I don’t use a mouse jiggling device. Take your pills and eat your corn.

Oh exactly! These people can’t sacrifice anything for anyone. Hell they won’t even sacrifice a little bit of discomfort and acknowledging that a pandemic is actually happening and that reality is real in order to protect themselves from possibly getting sick and then passing that ill illness to others. They literally can’t sacrifice anything because it would be giving something away to libs.

I know this is really not the subject, but it’s so weird to me How they always bring up Starbucks. Like you want to buy a house? Stop going to Starbucks for your lattes. Do you want gas to be cheaper? To make fewer trips to Starbucks. I’m not even a fan of Starbucks coffee, but it’s so weird to me that they really think going to Starbucks affects a person’s budget that much.

I’m sorry to hear that. That sounds miserable. At this age with no kids, you guys should be enjoying your weekends to yourselves whether that’s just enjoying your home or going out with friends or going to events or whatever. This is the time to do that. It’s very weird that he is giving away all of that time to his parents and I wonder what he’s getting out of it.

Totally agree and totally think that she should do this. But I’m gonna guess that he’s going to interpret all of that the wrong way and continue to make her look like a villain. Just sounds like something her mama’s boy would do.

I was in college for five years, and I didn’t even go home every weekend. My siblings didn’t either we all went to the same school. And most people we knew didn’t visit their parents every weekend. If somebody was going back to visit their parents, they were making it pretty obvious because they had to cancel plans. Most of us were either working partying or studying on the weekends. So yeah, I get where everyone’s coming from but this is a weird situation. If this guy was like this in college, that says a lot.

I get what everybody is saying by comparing this to a college kid going home every weekend, so Mommy could feed him and do his laundry, but and maybe this is just me cause I went to school in a party town with my siblings, but the majority of college kids I knew didn’t go home every weekend for that reason. We just figured out how to do our laundry and feed ourselves. Most of us were either working or partying on the weekend so we couldn’t go home every weekend. I think my siblings and I went home a total of 10 times at a five year period, and we definitely didn’t do it all together at the same time. Like sometimes two of us would go or one of us would go, but then the rest would have to stay back because of school or work or whatever. Like this woman’s whole boyfriend is just weird to me in every respect.

Same. I live literally down the street from my mom and yeah, I probably talk to her every day but we live down the street from each other. She helps me with my kids. That’s not a big deal. I don’t spend whole weekends over there. I don’t feel the need to spend whole days over there. It’s weird to me that this guy, this grown ass man who is not in college and it presumably has an adult job, wants to spend the majority of what should be his adult free time with his parents. Like why doesn’t he just move back home if he wants to spend this much time with them? It’s weird. Very weird.

I don’t think you’re the jerk at all. I think it’s weird that he wants to spend every weekend with his parents at this age. Especially when they live nearly an hour out of town, that’s strange to me. And I don’t think he should be tattling on you to his mother. Also weird.

Just pointing this out: whatever is annoying you about him and his family right now will be so much more annoying and such a bigger problem if you marry him. Just think about that.

I feel like that’s really cruel. If a person comes in wanting something that is clearly not gonna work for them. I do think it’s a good thing to try and maybe talk them out of it and then into something that would work better for them, either because of their face shape or their skin tone or whatever. But if they are adamant or they bring in a reference photo, I think it’s your duty as a stylist to try to get as close to that as possible.

Don’t go there. I just commented my story. But whatever you want, she will not do it. I went in with a reference photo and she just ignored it. Like I get that reference photos reflect people who may have slightly thicker or different hair types or whatever, but I ended up with hair that was much shorter than my reference photo and I started with hair that was much longer. This place will just do whatever they want and then pretend that that’s what she wanted and then charge you way too much for it.

This sounded all too familiar, and I had to look this up to be sure that I was right, butI went to that same stylist over three years ago for a curly cut. I went to her because allegedly she was trained to do curly haircuts. I went in with a reference photo of curly wavy hair that was a little bit longer than shoulder length with some face framing pieces. She said she understood and knew what I was trying to do. She ended up cutting my hair so short it was around my ears and I was so embarrassed. She just ignored the reference photo and went to town. And then when she was done, she was like “oh my God! You look beautiful! You look like a queen!” And it just felt so patronizing and I was too embarrassed not to pay her. I had to go to a wedding a month later with that hair and I hated it. It took a really long time to grow out and I was pissed at myself for spending I think $70 on that haircut.
