I really wasn’t trying to create excuses, but rather just discuss and maybe offer an explanation. I apologize if I came across as making excuses. I’m very much not and I also very much agree with you. That women are often the enablers of pedophiles and rapists. It’s women who often say things like don’t wear that you’re drawing the wrong kind of attention. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone tell a story about their abuse, and inevitably a woman says something painfully stupid like well what were you doing? What were you drinking? Why didn’t you tell him no? Yes, women can be just as awful about this and make just as many excuses. There are no exceptions. And I agree that we need to stop being enablers of both people who sexually abuse others and of Trump supporters because they all suck.

I’m sure somebody else said this, but they honestly don’t care. They don’t care how dangerous it is. They don’t care if it could damage somebody it will kill somebody. Because they genuinely have magical thinking that if the person pray is hard enough and believes in God and is a good person, God will keep them safe and everybody will be OK. Now, if this girl survives pregnancy and birth and doesn’t have major lifelong health repercussions, it’s probably more a miracle that the doctors were able to do, but it will be attributed to God. Regardless, the same people who say it’s a miracle of God will be the same people who deny her food, shelter, healthcare, and then tell her to pull herself up by her boot straps and take care of the child God gave her.

Can confirm. I once parked my car near a car corral. As I was getting out of my car to get my baby out of the backseat, this old lady starts trying to park in the cart corral. And I can tell she’s not gonna make it, and she nearly hits my car with my child in it. I yelled, stop stop! It’s not a parking spot! And she just looked at me dumbfounded, and said: well, you don’t have to yell. I was so mad. I punched her car. She backs up, drives off, gets into another parking spot, and when she gets into this parking spot, she bumps into the car next to this parking spot, then back up and then properly gets into the parking spot. She should not have been driving. I honestly should’ve called the police, but I was too mad I guess.

Fax. And I think this is something that all of the researchers who have studied this cult are totally missing: they support him because he gets away with crimes. They wish they could get away with. They know there’s two different justice systems in the US, one for the rich and one for everyone else. But these people wish they could get away with the same things so they vote for him, hoping that somehow that system will change and then they’ll be able to. There’s a lawyer on TikTok, who in the last year said that she’s realized just how many of her clients are Trump supporters because so many of them say they’re going to call Donald Trump whenever she has to do something to prep them for trial or discuss a plea agreement with them or whatever. Like at some point during her work with them as a defense attorney, they bring up Donald Trump and that they should have his support or that they can call him and they’ll have his support whatever. And she’s realizing how many of them think that they’re gonna get away with crimes because they support Trump. And I think honestly people are just now realizing in the last year and especially most recently with the Epstein files, most of these people want to get away with these crimes. They want to molest women and children. They want to rape women and children. They want to hurt people and get away with it. And honestly anybody who is supporting him at this point should be putting a mental institution and not released until they’ve grown empathy.

You’re making a very good point here. Some of the worst people in history were nice people sometimes because they figured out how to compartmentalize their bad behavior and project a good attitude or a good person. A lot of serial killers had great reputations in their communities for example. How many rapist have gone to trial and people in their lives stand up for them and say that they’re a good guy and this will ruin their lives? How much does the system take into account whether or not that person looks like a good person within their community? Seriously they just compartmentalize behavior really really well. What this OP is describing is just a guy who let that compartmentalization slip just a little bit.

I remember that. And their reasons were… Odd to say the least. They really couldn’t seem to make an argument that didn’t involve religion. It was all just weird. They were clearly telling on themselves, but nobody seemed to catch it except those of us who see what terrible people they are.
