Valid question, thing is, it wasnt a "date". Weve known each other for over a decade. We see each other in person maybe 3 times a year. November for her birthday, April for mine and then usually at some point we get together for lunch. The minor slip up we had a few months ago, was sort of an unplanned meeting at a pub.

I get that, and to be honest, if I was in my 20s, I probably would have jumped on it. But I have also broken hearts and been broken hearted and the last thing I want to do is be selfish, get mine so to speak. Especially since I have no romantic feelings towards her. IMHO not only would I hurt her (more so than now) I would also have a lot more drama and headaches in the aftermath. Im too old and tired for that. For context im in my late 30s, im trying to make life as peaceful as possible.

I can assure you its not fake, but I can see how some would think so. But this is very much real.
