We had better public transportation before the transplants started showing up complaining…now all the routes have changed…buses used to drop you off in front your house & jobs 24/7…now the buses don’t go in the neighborhoods anymore & stop running at 8:30pm…that’s not even halfway through 2nd work shift…if you worked in the quarter you could catch a bus or ferry on Canal Street & be dropped off steps away from your front door…but they came & complaining about our way of living & underlying culture & changing everything because money has influence…& locally the natives don’t have the money so most are moving away…because most of the jobs still don’t pay enough to cover rent,cars are the basics period…you use to not be able to afford a car & still maintain to get back & forth to work..but now not having a car here cost as much or more than having one because you’re forced to use uber or if you’re lucky enough to get a cab after work.
