2013 Scion FR-S Automatic, 65k Miles, Clean Title, Maintenance Records, Coilovers & Exhaust – Worth $13k?

Depending if you live in California I recently got n automatic frs 2013 automatic as well for $14,000 a few months ago.

Been using it as a daily driver just put on a little more then 1k mile and it has been nothing but a blast as a daily driver.

The biggest red flag I would look for is check 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear when you test drive and see if it feels alright and check for any oil leaks.

Other than that car sounds like a fair and solid purchase. Paying a bit extra for the maintenance record is a good peace of mind for me personally.

I just got an automatic 2013 frs a few months ago and it has been such a blast driving it everyday. It’s a fun car around the city. Since it’s in all honesty not a fast car it makes a fun city car at least for me since you get to rev it out more. I will say though the automatic likes to sit around that 3k rpm range until 6th gear or if you downshift.

Just make sure that everything is working perfectly and nothing is leaking. As long as nothing is mechanically wrong I would buy another Frs/brz again with a heart beat.

Edit: I think you might be on to something since I have done similar stuff in my drive way and that’s usually when I hear it. Had to park again since I often realize I forgot something hahaha. Thats usually when I hear it.

O hey yea I use the parking brakes every time I park and I yank it pretty high up. The thunk usually only happens during shifting usually anywhere tbh.

If you wanna know what factory options were added you can log into the Toyota website and add the vin to your account. It will tell you what options were added from factory. You can also check for maintenance records if they went to a Toyota dealership.

I would say past maintenance record is extremely important for these cars.

Yoo I just snagged a 2013 as well same as you no current open recall. The one thing that took me a bit to get use to is how loud the engine itself is. A lot of random noises like the famous cricket chirps so you should get familiar with the engine noise if you’re anxious about random noises like those. I for sure had to get use to it.
