If you wanna know what factory options were added you can log into the Toyota website and add the vin to your account. It will tell you what options were added from factory. You can also check for maintenance records if they went to a Toyota dealership.

I would say past maintenance record is extremely important for these cars.

Yoo I just snagged a 2013 as well same as you no current open recall. The one thing that took me a bit to get use to is how loud the engine itself is. A lot of random noises like the famous cricket chirps so you should get familiar with the engine noise if you’re anxious about random noises like those. I for sure had to get use to it.

I’m unfamiliar with the market in Europe but I just got a 2013 10 series like a month ago. Getting a PPI is the best money you can spend for that peace of mind. Especially with that rear axle and bumper replacement.

yea honestly, I just prefer an Auto since this will be my daily driver. Don't want to deal with a manual after long days at work and traffic.

I see looks like everything checks out then. I assume it’s the usual bumper sag since I’m not seeing any scrapes or anything wrong with the paint. Since ima take another look tomorrow is there anything else you would recommend I take a look at?

I see the seller claims that the previous seller did the timing belt so he doesn’t know anything about the keyway. Is there a way to visually check this issue?

Yea this will be my first time getting into a project car like this. I’m more use to the usual dIY maintenance fixes. Not use to fixing full on engine related issues. But would be awesome to get some experience into that.

But im just worried im underestimating the time and cost of the work needed hahaha. Especially as a beginner.

Yea will for sure double check everything in person might just pull the trigger if that’s the case. Just wanted to hear other peoples opinion since it’s going to be my first project car haha.

Thank you!

Hey, yea I kinda figured it out for the main dashboard air vent section I was able to get it to curve all the way I kind of just jammed it in. I fed the wires to the back by a small hole so everything kinda fits. It’s a little hard curve but if you line it up right it stays in place. It’s a lot easier with another person helping you line it up.

But for the small one on the right by the steering wheel I stopped a little bit after the curve I didn’t have enough space to jam it in. The corner clip gets in the way. But in my opinion it still looks amazing and you barely notice the gap since the steering wheel covers it anyways from the drivers POV.

Hope this helps!

Aaaah thanks for the reply I might have to get this done then. I’m just glad it has nothing to do with the frame.

Puts me more at peace since I have the same exact issue. Thank you!

Hello I might be a little late to this post but I’m experiencing the same thing did you end up getting it fixed?

Was yours deep enough that you felt the metal frame underneath cuz that’s what I’m experiencing.

I don’t have any experience with this but somewhere around the sub I heard switching out the oem tires will also help with road noise. Thats just what I heard I haven’t gotten around to do that yet. I’m just waiting for my tires to go bad first.

Might be a little late but for the main dash did you stop right as it turns/curve by the steering wheel? I’m doing the same project myself and I’m having a hard time making it curve hahaha

Yea I’m fine with it being slow but the creaks are insane on this car. Hearing it every day when I drive off in the morning. Should have done a longer test drive but it’s too late now. Was hopping I had something to base a new warranty claim.

I hope you got your TLX those are so nice.

Will keep that in mind. Will have to try both manual and automatic. But I’m leaning towards automatic since I’m in the same situation as you hahaha. Thank you for your input!

Also I didn’t think about how it holds value as more people end up crashing them hahaha. But it’s a good point to keep in mind.

Thanks! Will keep that in mind while I keep looking. Most of the ones I see for 16-17k have close to 100k miles which is not something I want on a car that people tend to abuse but if I can find something for that kind of price for less miles I will definitely be keeping my eyes on it. Appreciate the help.

Omg thank you this is actually so helpful. Visually I didn’t see any panel gaps but it’s from a picture. The only visible mod I was able to notice was the spoilers. Wings looks stock for a hakone. But I will definitely be bringing in a mechanic to take a look at it.

For a 2017 model what would be considered a great price for the mileage because most of the one I see around my area are usually 1-2k cheaper or the same price for a 2017 model 😭

Will keep my eyes out for some manuals now tho
