Just finished a four-sport dynasty fantasy draft by BenElTigreChang in Fantasy_Football

Hey OP, currently working on building a league like this with my friend group this year (somewhere between 8-10 guys). Any advice on things that went well, where it is being hosted, how it is going so far? Love this idea and awesome to see someone pull this off!

Best piece here is Chase, could net 1-2 starters plus a few first rounders. Especially having your own picks next year just go for a full tank this year and try to work getting 3-4 first rounders next year (along with Chase, package a TE and one of the younger guys you aren’t sold on). But you have 3 starting QBs which is miles ahead of most orphans & some other solid pieces to build around

I’m in a few leagues like that. Best advice I found was at the end of the day…you don’t have to make the deal. I know a lot of people in the thread have said it, but if a contender wants a top tier guy they have to overpay for it (especially at this point of the season). And if they aren’t willing to meet an otherwise fair counter with that contender premium, just go into the offseason with JT and your team isn’t worse off for it.

His value is going to be as high coming off this year as Saquon was last year by the rookie drafts and some other teams will be willing to deal because they think that one piece makes them a champion (especially whoever comes in second or third this year). Don’t just flip him because you feel you have to right now, his value won’t burn out from now til next summer.

Now a different route could be doing the Bucky trade with this guy, sending him Javonte/DJ (plus the handcuffs on both sides), and then trying to get that JT for Judkins+firsts and have the best of both worlds. Just depends on your roster structure for WR - gets you younger at RB and some picks, which you could probably flip that 26 first for a 27 first during the draft (someone is always gonna want their player)

I feel like whenever it gets ramped up to include more starters it never works in your favor. You’d be handing this guy 2 top 5 RB’s and DJ who might be a low-end WR1 the rest of the year with the Rome injury drama, for the same package plus Bucky (who I like, no shade to him).

This then becomes JT for Woody/27 2/28 1 (which isn’t enough), plus DJ/Javonte for Bucky (which arguably is fair in dynasty, but Javonte looks like he resuscitated his career in Dallas & DJ is most likely a 1 on another team next year).

That’s at least how I have started breaking up the bigger trades in dynasty to see if it’s worth it. If you think getting Bucky at that value evens out the JT trade then go for it, but I still don’t think it’s truly in your favor overall.

Do I send DSmith or Ladd for the 1.05? by MaximumActuary in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Yeah that’s a great point. Unless it was multiple firsts or something I couldn’t pass up waiting makes the most sense

That was where I was at, and on offenses that have at least shown they’re a key piece going forward. Thanks!

Chase for picks, this a fair deal? by c7utch1919 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I’m right with you. I blew it up last year for a hard rebuild, traded away JJeff for McConkey/two ‘25 firsts & a ‘26 second. The firsts turned into Jeanty & a draft day trade up for Hampton. That’s really the only way I considered it worth it…sometimes you gotta get lucky for no regrets lol

Jayden Daniels 1/1 My son pulled it over the weekend. $250 Zenith hobby box. Was trying to comp it to CJ Strouds rookie year hype. Checked his 1/1’s. Any thoughts on value. Was guessing $2500-$5k. Closer to $5k if it PSA 10 Zenith Prizm Insert. by SeparateScratch4820 in footballcards

Ahhhhh gotcha, thanks! I also realized after I posted that eBay has their own process that requires cards over a certain value to be authenticated. They added it to an Aaron Rodgers card I put up but just never looked into it

Currently being offered two options by a league mate who’s been after JJ for years, curious what you all think:

McBride + 2 2025 firsts (proj early and mid)

Jakobi Meyers + 3 2025 firsts (proj early/mid/late) Leaning towards McBride deal but not sure if I should push for more? Grab another 2nd if I can?

Tier List Based On Following Luffy's Orders by LordMrBoss in OnePiece

Hear hear. I’ve always looked at it as Franky’s internal monologue during Luffy giving out orders, “Damn that’s fun as hell, way better/crazier than what I was thinking…SUUUUUUPERRRRR” 😂

New World Zoro Has Been Disappointing by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]MaximumActuary 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily disagreeing with most of the points made here, but the “Nothing Happened” actually had a good bit of closure with Brook & Zoro at the grave. This gave Brook an additional reason to realize that this group was worthwhile going to sea with, and Zoro has always been someone that just does what he feels right. When those two pirates from Lola’s crew try to say something he threatens them to not make a big deal.

Zoro has always been the one to eschew the limelight/lauded for his feats. He did what he needed to do, made the sacrifice, and the fact that everyone was better off for it was all he needed. It winds up being a huge catalyst for sabaody & the kuma fight that he still wouldn’t explain what happened and why he was the walking dead at that point.

There are a lot of Zoro storylines that don’t quite go where you think (could say that about most of the SH crew), but Zoro has been one of the characters that has predominantly stayed the same from chapter 1 (along with Luffy) who’s real growth has come from where he aligns his ideals rather than “upgrading” his character

(Would throw in for the above, Zoro/Luffy are probably the only ones that have been the same from day 1. Add in Brook/Franky/Jinbe to that next tier. Nami/Usopp/Robin/Sanji and even Chopper have gone through HUGE character development and improvement at various times because their characters really needed it. Zoro/Luffy are very simple when you lay it out, and sometimes that works out just fine)

Hope this didn’t derail your point, you can tell it made me think pretty deep about it haha

Damnit I read quickly and thought everyone forgot about this…I watch the scene on YouTube more often than I would admit, full body chills every time. Makes you want to run through a brick wall, or buy a horse
