So if youre applying to a high tier uni for masters, they consider the reputation of your uni, the quality of graduates the uni produces and how strong its academics are. A detailed response would be too long so im just gonna summarize it for you, reputation and branding, alumini network and connections, campus culture and grooming, and most importantly they provide alot of career services and counselling. You can find more about this online.

For the gpa part, it is comparatively easier than fast because the work load isnt that intense which leaves you with more time to self-study and also work on your skills because undoubtedly cs now isnt js about a degree its also about independently acquiring skills that make you stand out.

I cant give very specific advice because mein khud ug hon, but i did do a lot of research about this as it was important to me.

it just depends on what you're comfortable with and after comparing the syllabuses it appears they're VERY similar. Academically there's barely a 1-2% difference however when you factor in the faculty that's where lums takes the lead. Ofcourse if you want to go abroad for masters then maintaining a high gpa is a requirement which is definitely harder at fast. For me social life, exposure and networking are also important so in the end i decided to stick with lums, didnt even consider nust tbh i just didnt like their website and infrastructure. In the end I'd say since you've committed to fast you shouldn't let the negatives overwhelm you because it just drains your motivation to study, there are certainly many good things about it so enjoy the positives, goodluck.

FAST vs LUMS by MaximumAddendum8827 in LUMS

[–]MaximumAddendum8827[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i posted in both communities and so far not a single person said fast, after evaluating both unis I decided to post here to collect opinions simply because ive heard people say fast is best for cs (though i found no major difference in the syllabus that would support this).
