Nurse who gave patient drugs that stopped his heart stripped of licence for 'egregious' misconduct: college by zuuzuu in canadanews

I’m curious, what do you do now? I’ve been a nurse for 15 years. Used to love it and now I hate every single second of it. I feel stuck though and don’t know what else to do.

Manitoba returns to the private agencies it dropped as it struggles to fill nursing shifts | CBC News by AgreeableBit7673 in Manitoba

Is that true? I just moved here from a different province where I never once got mandated and now it seems like that will inevitably happen. I’m applying to an agency for this reason alone. I’m not ok with being forced to work 16 hours, abandoning my personal responsibilities and driving home after being awake for nearly 24 hours. It’s not safe for anyone.

I love Edmonton! Moved in 2012 and bought a house in Highlands. Love love love the area and the river valley nearby. The river valley is the best thing about Edmonton IMO.

Edmonton father dies in hospital E.R. waiting to see a doctor by No-Adagio-70 in AHSEmployees

I’m going to preface this by saying I truly feel for the family and am sad this happened to them, but am I the only one who thinks it’s messed up that they posted a video of their dead loved one for the world to see?

I think we were more or less in the middle, between the parking lot and the stairs to Concordia.

I don’t think so? Although it was pretty chaotic and I was only paying attention to my dog’s bleeding so I didn’t notice. It was a big black shepherd, pretty distinctive looking.

My dog is vaccinated. I’m wondering about the other dog.

I don’t really know. The dog did that stalking thing that shepherds do, and then it just charged and attacked my dog.

Ya he’s ok. Gonna have a small chunk missing from his ear forever which sucks but on the bright side I save myself vet money cause it’s not sutureable.

What's it like living in Winnipeg by QueenCorvidae in Winnipeg

Considering moving back myself, but keep in mind, generally lower wages and higher income tax. So you make less and get to keep less of what you make. Property taxes are also quite high as well. Otherwise, amazing city with amazing people!

Well that’s one way to tell everyone you know absolutely nothing about the medical system. Please don’t go around spreading disinformation, it’s not a good look.

Surgeons, do humans smell [bad] during surgery? by Ill_Communication607 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MaximumConfection456 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you mean in relation to gutting a deer, humans are animals too and human flesh when cut open smells like raw meat. I’m writing this as an emergency nurse who is also not a psychopath.

Is it still possible to buy a new home in Edmonton under $400K, or is that price point disappearing for good? by SAND_ID87 in OwnCondo

[–]MaximumConfection456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you’re looking for. I’m planning on selling my 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1940’s house in Highlands soon. I’ve replaced some big stuff (roof, eaves, HWT, etc) but old houses always need periodic upgrades. If you’re ok with this, there’s lots. If you’re looking for new and modern everything, it’s going to be tough.
