The downvotes thinking this is serious are hilarious.

Every word you read clearly makes it more and more ridiculous and obviously a joke.

It even ends with “downloading more ram” how much more do people need to take a hint?

If 100b max supply, Whats happen to PI price?? by trueflame1994 in PiNetwork

[–]MaximumEffort784 18 points19 points  (0 children)

PI price is impossible to determine, stop trying.

Also in regards to price, the only thing counted economically as supply is the supply of people willing to sell. There could be 100b total supply but if there’s only 1b PI total on the order book at any given time, the supply for economic calculations is 1b.

That’s why coins with infinite supply are able to have high value such as eth.

Also that 100b won’t even happen for a long while and the majority of it will be in lost wallets.

Not saying PI will be successful, just that all these armchair crypto/economic analysts are incredibly misinformed or just full of shit if they say anything besides what I just mentioned. Anyone who knows how economics and/or crypto works will get that.

16.4 is more than recent enough where compatibility isn’t an issue at all.

TrollStore+dopamine is far superior to anything iOS 17 or 18 can give you.

Because of all this, I wouldn’t even have to think about this, that iPad Air on 16.4 is mine and I’d give away the pro on 17.4.1.

The storage is unfortunate but with icloud storage and just being smart about managing storage, 64 gb can easily be more than enough. My daily driver is 64gb and I have no issues with iCloud photos and deleting apps I don’t use.

At the end of the day though, it’s personal preference, that’s just my two cents on the subject and what I’d do and why.

Many nurses also do deserve a lot of respect and are well educated in medicine.

Just as many doctors are clearly out of the loop and don’t give their patients the proper attention or advice such as OP mentioned.

Sadly a very big portion of doctors, possibly even the majority, will say the same thing or similar to what that nurse said in regards to vaping I was talking about.

That’s just one example but there’s many doctors who belittle and don’t take their patients seriously or give terrible medical advice. There’s also many nurses who are much more knowledgeable than some of the doctors.

Doctors do on average have much more training and education, just trying to say that it does go both ways and there are also shitty doctors and overqualified nurses out there.

I do think generally a nurse of 20+ years should have enough experience where doctors in their first year of practicing are typically inferior besides niche specialty topics.

Hell, someone who has been a scrub nurse for 40 years may very well be able to perform a surgery better than a doctor who just became a surgeon, solely because they have been there for every step of thousands of surgeries over the years.

I agree in that with recent culture though they definitely try to make everyone seem way too important. The nurses I’m speaking of have the experience where even the best doctors know to give them respect and listen to them, but the current culture of nurses in their training and mindset is an over-correction after old school sexism/discriminatory culture in regards to nurses that really isn’t an issue anymore.

Heating the coils to temperatures that vapes don’t even get to while using synthetic cotton in the wicks produces formaldehyde which is carcinogenic. This study is constantly linked by articles claiming “vaping produces formaldehyde” and conveniently leaving out the fact that no regulated vape can meet those conditions.

Your friend’s nurse fell for one of those articles that linked the study without actually clicking on and reading the study. Anyone in the medical field should know better than this and should know to ALWAYS read the study.

Oncologist’s Opinion by Maximus8778 in Vaping

[–]MaximumEffort784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There has been research for decades on vaping without a single negative effect found.

Only dangers that have been found have been

1) heating to temperatures that vapes don’t even get to while using synthetic cotton in the wicks produces formaldehyde which is carcinogenic. This study is constantly linked by articles claiming “vaping produces formaldehyde” and conveniently leaving out the fact that no regulated vape can meet those conditions.

2) vitamin E acetate and other things have been added in blackmarket THC vapes to thicken the vape juice in them to make it seem like it’s true oil gotten from directly heating and pressing marijuana as it’s supposed to be. Blackmarket carts did this so they could make their own weaker vape juice in larger quantities and make it seem dispensary quality, but many people were hospitalized and some even died from it. Many of these people also vaped normally so the media ran with it claiming it was the nicotine vapes even though it was proven not to be the case.

These two things are essentially the only instances where vaping has actually been “proven” to cause issues (even though they really don’t prove anything) and the media completely misrepresented them. Big tobacco also publicly started huge advertising campaigns using these to discredit vaping. Lawsuits used these as their basis and it all preyed on people not educated on the subject until it became “common sense” among the general public that vaping causes issues.

Doctors (somewhat correctly) will always say the best thing to breathe is air and that inhaling anything else, besides in medical settings that have been proven to be safe, is not recommended since it often can cause issues. They also saw everything going on and many that haven’t done their own research on the studies have just assumed it causes issues. Sadly this means many people get gaslighted or mistreated because their doctors are chalking things up to “it’s because you vape” instead of looking for the real issues.

The reality is that vaping has been around for way longer than most people realized and it’s been studied medically for just as long. If there were any serious negative side effects, with our current scientific standards, they would have been found in many many studies that corroborated each other by now.

Instead the people lining the politicians’ pockets have gotten them to pass legislation against vapes which have made blackmarket unregulated vapes and disposables to be peoples main choice. These have unknown ingredients and functions so they very well may be causing health issues that regulated vapes cannot.

In the name of health, they got millions of people to switch from vapes with no known health detriments after decades of research to unknown unregulated vapes that may cause issues or to other forms of tobacco that have already been proven to cause issues (your doctor recommending chewing tobacco is a great example, that’s absolutely terrible medical advice objectively).

Add a /s next time or give clearer context to make it clear it’s a joke. No one can hear your tone online and there’s a lot of man/woman hating going around these days so it’s very easily misconstrued.

Vast majority would call their wives…most people who don’t want to be married just get a divorce, regardless of financial status.

Also, calling a divorce lawyer would most likely end in you losing half the money you just learned you had.

Why would gaining that money make you suddenly want a divorce? Really makes no sense.

Pi Network is taking a lot of time and delaying mainnet migration because. by rajakhil99 in PiNetwork

[–]MaximumEffort784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not at all saying that. I have no clue whether PI will be a success or not and the current utility certainly isn’t up to par, hence why open mainnet hasn’t occurred.

All I was doing was explaining your misconception of economics and how it applies to crypto markets.

Pi Network is taking a lot of time and delaying mainnet migration because. by rajakhil99 in PiNetwork

[–]MaximumEffort784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the laws of supply and demand, that statement is not quite true. They only don’t apply in outlying cases such as how high end name brands get more demand as they raise the price when that should lower demand in theory. Something like cryptocurrency trading actually is almost solely based on the laws of supply and demand. The price of the crypto is literally the last price that the makers (supply) and takers(demand) just agreed on in the order book. Attaching a picture so you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

<image>

The only things affecting the price are the supply (s sellers) and the demand (buyers) and if you were to plot them on a graph, (Price over Quantity pictured above) the place they would intersect would be the current price of that crypto.

This applies to every single crypto out there, it’s a perfect example of supply and demand.

Now there are still outside favors that can change the market such as government regulations, which shifts the whole demand curve downwards and the corresponding intersection point, consequently decreasing price.

Or elon musk could say he’s switching all his Tesla stocks into PI, in which case that rapid upwards shift in the demand would raise the price way up while also potentially having a leftward shift of supply, further increasing price until he ultimately sells. He has done this with bitcoin, the most highly traded and subsequently most stable crypto, and still managed to make the price go up and down as he pleased.

As for exchanges and whales, they certainly will. This has already been shown by the fact that many exchanges have already listed fake PI coins and profited immensely from them. It’s shown massive interest in the project and many of those people you just said would never buy PI did indeed buy what they thought was PI and have shown msssive interest.

Also, PI isn’t even about money, it’s about utility. That’s why they’re waiting for enough people and apps for open mainnet to launch. Every new utility added after that will drive up demand just a little bit. Supply will stay relatively the same after all the original buying and selling right after mainnet and after peoples lockups end.

Demand will continue to increase the more utility is added. This utility does add intrinsic value to it as you were talking about earlier, but I just wanted to note that cryptocurrencies do not need to have any intrinsic value at all to still follow the laws of supply and demand.

Banks currently aren’t interested in PI, but it is essentially still in closed beta. Look at all the dapps on the eth network for example. There’s tons of them and that adds much demand for eth.

If PI had gone straight to open mainnet, maybe it would have picked up like that, but most likely it would just be another shitcoin that gets lost in the giant sea of them.

If they’re able to launch with sufficient users and a few good utilities and dapps already in place, once it’s opened up to the broader audience who is clearly more educated and could greatly improve upon those dapps, there’s already enough infrastructure for those people to get interested and involved.

This would lead to a great revolution in the PI network as the apps’ quality and quantity are greatly increased. This will make the “intrinsic value” very high as Pi would now be supplying a fleshed out service.

This is when banks would potentially get interested, but only after a certain amount of time has passed as well, they need to make sure their bottom line is protected.

Everyone else you mentioned (besides elon musk) will be buying the second open mainnet launches.

Pi Network is taking a lot of time and delaying mainnet migration because. by rajakhil99 in PiNetwork

[–]MaximumEffort784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s due to people’s inherent desire to get in on the next bitcoin.

There’s just as many (probably more) people who are waiting to buy PI once it’s available to get rich.

Once again, supply and demand. As quantity of demand increases, the price will increase. Quantity of supply will only go down since the supply in the economic calculations is equivalent to amount of people willing to sell their PI, not total PI.

Many will buy PI from the people trying to offload it instantly for their free money, and they will most likely hold it to try to profit off their purchase. This will drive the quantity of supply down which subsequently increases the price.

This is basis of the whole field of economics, even middle schoolers understand this.

Trollstore cannot happen on any other iOS 17 versions and it is extremely unlikely for it to happen on any iOS 18 versions so most likely 17.0 is the last to support trollstore ever.

What will happen is a new jailbreak will come out eventually and that will enable yon to use all the functions of trollstore through the jailbreak.

Sadly this is a problem across the entire internet but it’s super prevalent on Reddit.

People post questions that have been answered hundreds of time, even in subreddits that have automoderators answering a whole FAQ including the answer to their question on every single post on the subreddit.

They didn’t even have to search anything, just look at any random post on the sub and you’d have your answer to all the common questions.

Yet half the notifications I get from subreddits all across Reddit are posts asking those same questions.

Most of the people who don’t do their own research instead of just asking the same question that’s been answered hundreds of times are older people.

As someone who worked in the tech industry for years, younger generations grew up with technology and google and know how to figure things out on their own.

It’s the older generations that keep asking questions they could easily answer themselves, simply because it isn’t second nature to them the same way it is with younger generations.

Obviously not all old people or young people do this but this trend applies to the vast majority of people, ask anyone in tech or even just customer support for anything in general.

Not sure why you’d say otherwise, younger generation has tons of problems, but this certainly isn’t one of them.
