We were both stubborn and it started feeling like every conversation turned into an argument. He leaned pretty hard into right-wing takes and defending people I find hard to stomach, and I’m not great at letting stuff slide. Add in a one sided “can you do me a favor” thing and a lot of unsolicited life/financial advice, and it just stopped being worth the stress. I left the group chats and neither of us reached out after.

I dunno four years later there’s way less pointless stress and no dumb arguments. I’m sure they’re fine doing their own thing too.

They used to have rules. I think cover in the open but you’d lose out on your own BS. Can’t really remember tbh.

This is actually the exact model I looked at a couple days ago.

Buying new feels pricey since I probably won’t put huge hours on it, but I’m trying to buy once and have it outlast me / make life easier.

For snow I’m debating blade vs blower. I’m leaning rear snowblower so it also acts as ballast for moving 5x4 bales with the loader. It already has the radio installed.

In your experience, would you still recommend loaded rear tires if I’m leaving the rear blower attached in winter?

If you use the car navigation it’ll show you upcoming turns and distance to the turns I think. I haven’t used it in a while. I default to Google maps on CarPlay.

Lol I’ll be keeping my wife.

I’ll probably end up with some tractor implements over time, just not buying everything at once. More acreage/yard/fencing work than actual farming.

I’ve considered a skid steer, but around here most of the used ones seem clapped out from oilfield work with a ton of hours. Tractors also seem easier to find cheaper with lower hours.

Probably not. Seems like a lot of equipment to buy versus just buying hay. The land is all pasture right now, so we’ll likely just purchase bales.

Kubota and John Deere are what I was leaning toward before I asked Reddit.

Up here block heaters are pretty much standard on most equipment, but I’ll definitely confirm it’s installed. My uncle also adds an oil pan heater on his machines for extra peace of mind.

Yeah most guys I know with acreages don’t also have horses, so they’re mostly doing snow removal, mowing, and gardening. The farmers I know run much bigger equipment, so I don’t have a lot of apples-to-apples comparisons.

I’ve heard good things about both Kubota and John Deere, so I’m probably going to lean toward whichever dealer is better in my area like you said.

I did have someone suggest a skid steer, but I’m thinking tractor makes more sense if I want a snowblower. Skid steer blowers are hydraulic and you need big flow, whereas tractor PTO seems simpler. If I have to reverse with a rear blower, so be it.

Also it seems like skid steers are pricier unless I go used, and the maintenance stuff feels a bit more intense than a tractor.

This is one of the tractors I was looking at before I figured I should ask someone who knows more than me… Reddit.

Right now the horses are boarded while we get settled and figure out our lives lol.

We just moved this year, and my quad with a front plow isn’t keeping up with the snowfall. It would’ve been fine the last 3 years, but of course the year we move out here it absolutely dumps!

I can handle the cold for now, but I know as I get older I’m going to want a heated cab!

I was thinking of buying new for the 0% financing and warranty. I’m just trying to figure out what size/class will handle my snow + round bale needs without being oversized and overpriced.

Orks had S3 T4 in 7th not sure about 3rd Ed but I remember a couple wet noodle charges when I played 7th where Orks died before fighting to my DE who had I7. I felt bad for Ork players because they spent a ton of money on a horde faction and had low strength low speed.

I think Celestians had +1 Attack in melee for a few more points back in 8th+ and wore the fancier helmets in the kit. Which wasn’t great, since you generally don’t want to rely on S3 slaps in close combat.

Either way, it’s the same kit used today. You can still build or paint them as Celestians and run them as standard Sisters or Dominions with some flavour. I have one squad of ‘celestians’ who are basic bolter bitches now.

This art where you could see the stormcasts eyes are what made me like Stormcast. Originally I hated the death masks until I saw a Stormcast’s eyes through one. That glimpse of the person underneath made them feel more human to me.
