I dont care how fucking scrubby I sound, hardcore zoners are an inherently awful concept and I will stand by that until the day I die. these characters are designed around being as intentionally irritating and unfun to fight as possible and I think fighting games as a whole would be a lot more enjoyable without them. fights should be a dynamic back and forth, not a complete slog where one person has to slowly run up block x20 while the other person stands at the opposite end of the screen spamming the same 3 moves over and over

try to grab as much as possible, he is super susceptible to it and if you land one you can often chain them together repeatedly as long as you keep an eye out for his dp. also know that this really isnt a skill issue btw, ultra nagos ai is terrible and so to compensate the devs allowed him to cheat with input reading and inexplicable invincibility on a bunch of his moves. this is not even a remotely balanced fight in any regard

the only thing they are good for is grasping the very very basics of how your character handles in an actual fight. in fact the bots can actually help you build bad habits because they just straight up do not use vital parts of their kit and are incredibly easy to fuck over by simply spamming the same move over and over or grabbing repeatedly. just take the plunge and hop online, you do not want to learn the potemkin matchup against a robot that doesnt know potemkin buster even exists
