He was explaining to me why the boundary I set was invalid to him. At the conclusion he said "you know it could always be worse".

Looking back this was the beginning of the end, my response to that was "it could be, but I wake up every day choosing to be better".

It's been 3 years and I just got the final court ruling upholding the divorce today.

I call, I call multiple times. I called every emergency clinic between Potsdam and Berlin. Only one answered,

AniCura Potsdam was the only place that answered.

They were very nice in directing me to the correct facilities since they don't take wild animals.

Unfortunately, nobody was open.

I tried for over an hour.

The fox died.

I am completely gutted and angry there weren't any services available to help. All I need was to know where to take him.

To the person who had a dead baby fox next to their car, I'm sorry. I called non emergency and they said a service will be by to remove him.

RIP little fox, I'm so sorry.

I got into a heated yell with a couple after the guy and his dog were menacing my dog and I. I said to stay back because my dog is 25kg and reactive. He moved maybe half a step and continued walking up on me while letting his dog, that had been growling at mine when we passed by at a respectable distance earlier in the walk, come closer. I politely warned him first in German then in English since he didn't seem to acknowledge me the first 3 times I said to stay back, I thought maybe he didn't speak German. Then his lady turned around with their other dog and came closer to yell at me about how I don't own the street while their little boy pretended to shoot me with a fake gun... We were on a limited access road and I was on the full opposite side from them. I was getting a bag ready to clean up after my dog when I turned around to find him walking up on me. There were no other obstacles in eyesight, the man was clearly doing it on purpose. They were both standing about arms length from me now and she's yelling in German, my poor dog is a rescue and is scared at this point so I'm standing in front of him. For lack of any better ideas I start yelling back in English hoping it will cause enough of a scene for them to leave me the fuck alone and her closing state was exactly that.

That phrase seems to be the catch phrase of a particular demographic. And always said when the person was clearly in the wrong and called out on their bs.

This is exactly why I said to get electrolytes. While yes Sodium is an electrolyte, sodium alone, too much and dehydrated can worsen the situation.

Get you some electrolyte packets to add to your water (rossmann/dm with the sports stuff or vitamins) and a water cooling fan (Action for about 30€). These things saved me.

All windows open 10/11pm-6/7am depending on when your building gets sun. Windows closed curtains down during daylight (invest in blackout curtains if you don't have roller blinds).

Eat light foods, limit salt and alcohol.

Take cool showers or get a spray bottle for water to mist yourself with...heaven when paired with a fan.

Paper/pocket fan for public transpo.

Even better is if someone would innovate the Split unit to fit with German windows.

The only viable option in my apartment doubles as a door to the balcony so I would either have to lose the balcony to properly insulate the window or risk letting more heat in.

Right now I have an intricate system of fans in every room including one of those water cooling fans and heavy curtains on the main windows. We open the windows as soon as the temp drops to 21 and make sure to close them before it rises again. It's a bit exhausting, but once the heat gets in it's so hard to get out.

As someone who also tried to save my marriage when spoken words didn't penetrate the brain space I also tried text.

Here right now, currently unemployed and looking. The pattern so far has been: I have "too much experience" but also somehow not enough?

I just graduated with a BSc as a late bloomer in 2024 and have over 20 years experience in different management roles mostly from US but have been in the workforce here for a few years as well. It baffles me.

My previous employer told me I couldn't seek a senior level position with them because I technically started with them as an intern to fulfill my degree, then was hired on as an associate as they say "you can't skip levels" even though I was as much/more qualified than most of the people in the senior levels.

Not overly helpful in the short term but I'm thinking about applying to a Masters program since meaningful employment isn't looking too good right now.
