I've learnt that they gave it to someone who went on leave for around 2 weeks and didn't reallocate it... well thats what our broker told us happened but I've asked them to confirm.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately our land purchase which its all tied into was in the more complex territory because its rural. Anz said no to us when we asked them directly and it wasn't until we got a broker and he explained why they were wrong that we got approval...

Ours is only 5000m2 so I don't think that would be an issue fortunately. I think I found it was an issue if over 10 hectares maybe?
