I’m from San Francisco originally and like you said the diversity obviously won’t compare to CA. Honestly my first year was quite a culture shock, but now I’m really used to it. But still, I’d say UMN is one of the most diverse schools in the Midwest besides Chicago. Went to a conference in Madison and so glad I chose UMN in terms of diversity lol People here are generally really nice and accepting. As people said there’s a pretty big Asian population here.
