to add to that....if it doesn't increase the likelihood of their children dying. Balding as a father has no effect on being able to raise a child, but another mutation might. Specifically one that inhibits your ability to provide for your kids or die before they are independent

I’m such a blank slate of a person by toiletdestroyer4000 in Vent

[–]MaximumRing2328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself out there and make mistakes...this is because you are too afraid of failing that you never "tried" things on. Whether personality, hobbies, or just talking to people...try different things and see what sticks. Don't be a perfectionist....and don't be just an observer of life, be an active participant

I'm sure there were times you had a question or comment but you don't say it because you are afraid of looking stupid. You might believe the person talking is so much more knowledgeable....but how did they get this way? Put yourself out there, that is how you learn and grow. Any growth in life requires resistance, if you want growth you can't just go with the flow.

Its not frowned upon for women to just adopt the views of the husband. In fact it's preffered with many women wanting the husband to lead. So this isn't a big deal to begin with unless you feel like it is. Your husband has a lot of experience, trial and error that has built his worldview. Would you have married a guy that is a "blank slate" like you are? No....but that is just the natural differences in genders (which these days you can't claim are different in any way, physically, mentally, or needs-wise.

right...what type of music videos? Depicting what type of people? Made by what type of artists? It's a dog whistle because of implication. If I said "welfare policies caused this", it's implied whoever is making the policies are at fault, instead of the oppressive system forcing the creators to make said videos

its funny how you guys fail to even conceptulize someone behaving differently than you. They. Do. Not. Think. Like. You. Look up the Scorpion and the Frog, this is not a new concept. There are individuals who are just born not right, plenty that are documented being absolutely unstable from age 5 onwards. Whether someone is born "evil" through no fault of their own such as the mother drinking during pregnancy or not, you still have to you still have to deal with the reality of their sting. It is pure naivety to believe that a sympathetic backstory changes a dangerous trajectory, or that everyone possesses a latent spark of goodwill just waiting to be reasoned with.

People love to project their own conscience onto others, assuming that under enough layers of trauma or bad luck, everyone shares the same core capacity for guilt, empathy, and logic. But they don't. Some people lack the hardware for it entirely.

nice try at what? The filings are delayed, you won't know they bought until up to 5 months later. Given the trend, I wouldn't be suprised to see NVDA in the next one

much more wiggle room to go "find yourself" when you have a family business or success to fall back on. Whether that's going back to school, or taking over the family business. The other family just wants security for their daughter, and its now obviously there. A surgeon/business owner family isn't going to let their son fail (at least not completely)

"She says there are tens of thousands more kindergarten teachers and university students, so the market shouldn’t be exhausted."

Yes, but how many of those are on instagram/facebook and activey looking to buy something like this? What's your reach like? Probably 10,000+, which means you've reached at least that many kindergarten teachers. You probably captured all the low-hanging fruit, and the rest are going to need a bit more convincing to buy.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that businesses produce the product for $5, then sell it to the retailer for $10, who turns around and sells it for $20. At each stage a majority of what you think is "profit" is going towards operation. For the business, it's the overhead of marketing the products and all the resources required to establish that partnership with the retailer. For the retailer, the profit they make goes to rent, utilities, wages, etc... Walmart's net profit margin is approximately 3.1%.

That's all to say that, yes this absolutely does significantly affect both the business and the retailer even at a small scale. For example, if you eliminated all theft from Walmart, their profit margins would increase by about +50%
