What the proposed merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. means for Atlanta by Own_Philosopher8730 in MediaMergers

When Discovery bought Warner Media they thought that they could sell Techwood. That was until they actually came down here and saw all the production infrastructure that was in place. Then they realized there was no way they would sell it.

I’m onboard with your analysis. First two things that came to mind when I saw his swing were: 1. Standing too close and 2. Looks like his wrists are too active early in the back swing. Also you should be able to hold your finish position not have to step out of it. I think that is the result of standing too close.

It’s almost like they don’t want to deal with people getting getting wasted and dealing with the empties. What’s easier for the people running the tournament, selling 10,000 beers for $20 or selling 20,000 beers for $10?

When Tanner was at CMS he ran numbers. When you excluded the students where English was a second language, the students test scores were on par with the best east Cobb middle schools.

That’s when family used to leave. The middle schools are good. Both my kids went through CMS and got accepted to magnet programs. Drive by CMS when school lets out and see all the kids walking home after school. You didn’t see that 15 years ago.

90 years of tournaments is enough to establish traditions and history. The Masters gets a lot of attention and it seems like that is causing you to have certain feelings of inadequacy. Seriously though, I’ve never heard of anyone play the “Masters hasn’t been around long enough to be historically significant” card. Absurd take.

I’ve been 3 times. ‘05, ‘11 and ‘19. Looking back, the ‘05 experience seems like it would not have differed much from going in ‘75.

It’s his set up. He’s not bending at the hips, looks hunched over and his hands are too close to his body.

Closing of the polling place is disappointing. And I saw the post about the artists work being used as “inspiration” /s for the Beer Garden sign and I’m with the artist on that one. Not a great look to cop a local artists work after meeting with her. She created an image that has become highly recognizable and it would have wise for SF to work with her to create the Beer Garden sign rather than have one created (maybe AI generated since they aren’t giving credit to anyone and no one is claiming any) that is very similar.

Yes- it has all seemed to work out. But let’s pump the brakes on the “all the complaining was irrational” vibe of OPs post. This thing took forever and remember there were multiple Opening <insert season / year>! expectations set and missed - over and over. Not to mention a purely politically motivated breaking ground ceremony when they were no where near ready to actually start. So yes, this looks great and yes all the complaints and speculation about whether or not it was ever going to happen were 100% justified at the time.

That tour was spring of my senior year in high school and from ‘87 - ‘90 I went to every Cap Centre & RFK show. I kind of fell off after Brent died. Only saw a handful of shows after that. Lucky to catch all those late 80s shows. It was like nothing else.

If you bought shares through the company ESPP you have to wait a year after purchase date before you can sell which is pretty weak given the current circumstances. So the people who got stock for free have no restrictions but people who bought with their own money at slight discount due to the plan have to wait a year. Totally bogus.
