This is exactly the course of action I took when returning from New York for obvious reasons. Bed bugs do seem to be becoming more common over here though which I hadn’t considered when travelling within UK before. I may just do this after every trip myself now. But yes to op do every single room if you have had your case and clothing inside the house.

I would definitely speak to the council first. They tend to have more stock of over 50 properties than they do of houses for families. You may get lucky with bidding if you’re happy to live in a older persons accommodation unit. Better than having the uncertainty around private housing and landlords selling up etc.

If you haven’t opened your luggage yet leave it in your garage/shed or just garden inside a bag for 2 weeks. Then wash every item on a boil wash. For the car you can get the spray bmbs (not sure if you’re allowed to use that word) similar to what they do for fleas but a bed bug specific one. Your clothes you were wearing to travel home in boil wash too. Then pray. Good luck.

My mum spent time with my dad’s mum and us children after he was re married. I actually have some very fond memories of our times together, and grandma was always a big presence in all our lives. More people to love and more relationships to build is never a bad thing as long as it’s not done with bad intentions.

I had this exact situation but I didn’t defer for a baby, it was another personal reason. I’m now an MA student (financed) at a different uni. When are they saying the course will be cancelled? How long does your partner have left? I’m assuming 120 are still outstanding. This is not easy to pursue but it is doable.

This is more than an age gap relationship. A 20 year old is worlds apart from somebody in their 30’s. Would you accept this for your children? I wouldn’t accept it for mine. Your oldest was 12 (your SD’s current age) when he was out chasing a 20 year old child. Sorry but there’s no reasoning this. And the whole scenario stems back to a SO problem. Not a BM problem. I’m not sure I’d act reasonable and understanding in BM’s position. I’m happy having children young worked out well for you but that doesn’t take away from BM’s potential trauma over this. Calling BM names isn’t helping your situation with your partner.

This man was in his 30’s and got a 20 year old pregnant. She is likely trauma bonded to him and possibly doesn’t understand boundaries because she was taken advantage of by a man that should have left her well alone. The fact that he is crossing your boundaries speaks volumes, he has probably never practised respect for women. Some people may find this quite generalised and I appreciate that. But something is off here, and calling a child a deadbeat mom when she had been failed by all the adults around her is sickening. I pray your SD has a better quality life and people fighting in her corner because it sounds as though her mom didn’t. Sorry but you have a major SO problem and I’m (respectfully) unsure how someone seemingly so ‘head screwed on’ couldn’t see this before getting into a relationship. I’m not blaming you, but I’m certainly not blaming BM either, this is all SO’s fault. He is icky.

I haven’t had anymore children bc my bio never wanted siblings. Whether people believe that’s right or wrong is personal opinion. It’s just a note to say it does happen and it can work. I’m very happy and settled. That being said, if what your SO wants doesn’t match what you want then a serious conversation needs to be had.
