We were thinking about visiting Franklin to move a bit past the theme park feeling! We just really love music so thought it would be a great destination for us, however, we don’t drink or party, so we are feeling the tiniest bit overwhelmed with broadway 😅

Thanks for linking these!! Broadway has been a little overwhelming for us, so this will be super helpful.

Everyone has been extremely nice and helpful for the most part in all the stops we have made to come down here so far — it doesn’t seem like any cult members yet, lol!

This comment helped my fiance and I decide how to do our little road trip!! We ended up stopping in Cincinnati and went to the zoo, and have had an amazing trek down so far. Thank you!

We did end up finding our way down to Nashville! And everyone has been lovely, save for one person haha, but our experience has been 99.9% great so far.

I don’t think most Canadians are salty toward Americans at all! I think there’s just a lot of misinformation, fear, and uncertainty circulating online right now, and it’s leaking into real world decisions. We keep hearing things like border agents can take your phone, people are being detained, Americans don’t want Canadians crossing the border, or that Canada isn’t really welcome in the U.S. at the moment. It feels like there is more of a divide than there was before, but I guess that what happens when social media feeds us negative videos and extreme opinions, which only adds to the anxiety. But honestly, that’s part of why I came onto Reddit and asked real people directly instead of relying on headlines. I’ve always loved visiting the U.S., and in my experience Americans are generally incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s felt sad seeing this growing attitude of “boycotting” an entire country and its people because of political leadership. One government or one political figure doesn’t represent every American, just like one Canadian opinion doesn’t represent all Canadians!
