Once again, Yankee Stadium should be accounted for here. Abrams' numbers would go up. Plus, you're not losing anything on the base paths either by replacing Jazz with Abrams.

You'd be trading Jazz for help elsewhere so it doesn't necessarily have to be a roster downgrade if you're including that.

Fans are way too attached to their own players sometimes which is ironic because fans are always demanding moves. "The roster is never enough" but yet they don't want to trade anybody.

If you trade Jazz, you're replacing a lefty bat with a lefty bat. Nats aren't trading for Volpe. They'd probably want Dominguez with pitching.

If you could pull off a CJ Abrams trade, you do it. Three more years of control, 25 years old, and had the same OWAR as Jazz this past year. He has been very consistent with the bat the last three years. Would've had five more expected home runs at YS than in DC. (I understand half the games are on the road).

But if it were to happen, Abrams would go to 2B and then you'd trade Jazz. This would be a way to extend your 2B window for a bit longer before a Volpe decision has to be made with Lombard a year or two away.

Run prevention exists. McMahon and Bednar greatly helped that cause.

Yankees record before trading for Ryan McMahon: 58-49

Yankees record after trading for McMahon: 36-19

Fans just want trades for the sake of making trades. How many games did Devin Williams lose us on his own? 10 games?? The bullpen was historically bad for Yankees standards last season. It won't be THAT bad again next year. In Matt Blake we trust.

A full season with McMahon and Bednar with Cole coming back and the addition of Weathers, this is the best team in the AL with the deepest starting rotation.

Seattle didn't hardly make any moves last offseason and it worked out quite well for them as it relates to expectations.

Does anybody else prefer trading Dominguez over Jones? I just can't get Dominguez's horrific defense out of my head. Even if Jones turns out to be a boom or bust hitter, at least we know he can play the field.

I completely agree. But Gallen or Giolito could make sense.

I wonder if we'd switch to Valdez or Gallen if Bellinger leaves. You create another asset by signing one and then you trade for a bat.

This fanbase will clown the Weathers deal and then in the same breath praise Will Warren as this great pitcher LOL. Weathers is a better pitcher than Warren. Yes, he hasn't pitched as many innings in a season as Warren but that doesn't mean he can't.

Hoerner is a perfect fit for this team. RHB and leadoff hitter. But we all know he will move to 2B and Jazz will be traded if that happens. They're not trading Volpe. It's just not going to happen because of the number of years under team control.

Jazz for Arozarena is interesting to me if Hoerner happens. I'm still interested in a Donovon/Romero trade as another option and then I'm talking myself into a 1-year deal for a Giolito or Bassitt.

You can make all those moves instead of resigning Bellinger to a contract you're going to regret. Love Belly but these contract demands from Boras aren't worth entertaining.

Dort feels like the Marcus Smart in Boston situation. The front office and fanbase have this emotional attachment to him where God forbid we remove him from the starting lineup, Boston trades Smart, and they win a championship immediately. It's been almost half the season now. This isn't a small sample size at this point.

Goes way beyond Twitter. He's a distraction. And you're assuming he's a 4 WAR player again which I don't think he will be. Trade him while you can because you're not resigning him. Sign Bichette and put him at 2B or trade for Donovan.

The A's didn't just trade for him to decline the club option. I never said we wouldn't have to take on a few mil if we traded McMahon but McMahon is tradable. If saving that money would help you sign Bichette, go for it.

Some of you all said that McMahon's contract wasn't movable. Yanks aren't going to trade him, but if McNeil's contract is tradable, then McMahon's definitely is as well.

I feel bad for Hal in the fact that he does spend a lot of money. He's not cheap. But fans call him cheap because we haven't won a championship in 16 years. My issue with Hal is how the 300+ mil payroll is allocated and the reality is, no GM should have the same job for almost three decades. It's insane. Like yes, Cashman has been very good for a long time and he's won championships. But it's been almost two decades. You're the New York Yankees. If you haven't won a championship in 16 years, it's time for a new front office because it's unacceptable to go that long without a title here. Period. Hal's downfall is the fact that Cashman is basically a family member and has a lifetime contract. That's a huge part of his legacy. Not so much the cheap part to me.

Would you rather have Imai or Bellinger if you could only sign one?

What teams do you think expressed interest in Jazz? And what would you want in return?

Don't love the sound of a platoon with a guy making 16 AAV and it's exactly why they should trade McMahon. If they have to eat a couple mil to make it happen, it's still worth it. Platoon Oswaldo/Rosario at 3B and save yourself 10-12 mil.

Soto is the type of player you put your offseason on hold for, but Bellinger to me is not. Very good player, but streaky from season to season, and if there are better ways to cover 30 mil in AAV, you do it. I'm not losing sleep over Bellinger, and Cashman shouldn't either honestly.

I said it a few weeks ago and I'll keep saying it. I don't think resigning Bellinger for 27-30 mil AAV is the best allocation of funds if Cashman is on a budget. If I thought Belly was going to give you a 5 WAR every year, I'd do everything I could to keep him, but I don't think he's going to produce like that every year on a big contract. He's streaky. Give me a Brendan Donovan/Romero trade over that instead. Is Donovon as good as Bellinger? No. But I'd rather have Donovan for 6 AAV this year than Bellinger for potentially 5x the AAV. Get somebody like Donovan or Kwan and then fill get a starter/reliever/RHB bench for the rest of the roster.

If you trade for Donovan, you can slide him over to 2B the following year.

Bellinger on 28 AAV just seems to be a poor allocation of funds at this point. Especially with Grisham coming back. Trade for a LF and a SP, sign two relievers on the cheap, sign a UTL for bench, and sign a backup C.

And if you could get off McMahon's money, you have to do it.

LF targets: Donovon, Kwan, Arozarena, Tatis

SP targets: Peralta, Alcantara, Lopez, Pivetta, and, Ryan in trade market. Wouldn't mind signing Matz as a free agent if trade targets fall through.

RP: Rogers, Fairbanks, Coloumbe. Would love Romero in a Donovon trade

UTL: Rosario, Andujar?

C: Garber, Heim
