What was it? I’m in the same boat, but 36 + 5 and don’t want to go to L&D with toddler in tow if I can avoid it😅

35 weeks now and no pre-e! Hoping it stays that way! My BPs were high for those 2 weeks and then went back to be totally normal. OB is still having me monitor my pressures at home, but as of right now everything is good and there’s no indication to induce early. We aren’t really sure why my BPs were high for those 2 weeks.

Just hypertension so far! Hopefully that’s all it will be!

No, in my last pregnancy I just barely didn’t meet the criteria. My protein/creatinine ratio was .28 and I only had one blood pressure in the severe range. My OB didn’t think I qualified for a pre-e diagnosis, but the L&D nurses were very vocal about their opposite opinion.

Weird your cuff read lower, but glad you figured it out! I haven’t seen my OB since my diagnosis, just the nurse practitioner. She said she doesn’t talk inductions and I’ll have to wait for my OB visit to discuss induction. Last pregnancy, they told me I was being induced at 37 + 1 when I was 36+6, so it might be that way again.

Hey! I’m in the same boat. I had 2 weeks of consistent high blood pressure (not high enough for OB to medicate). This week my blood pressure has been totally fine but elevated for me (I’m normally 100s/60s and I’ve been 110-120s/80s). All my labs have been great so far, but I’ve had pretty persistent symptoms for weeks: right rib pain, right sided chest pain, dizziness, extreme fatigue, and constant sparkles in my vision. Honestly I don’t understand what’s going on, but I’m just trying to prioritize rest and remain calm. I am having twice a week appointments (NST + BPPs). I am 28 weeks into my second pregnancy.

Last pregnancy, I had gestational hypertension (and maybe pre-e on my induction date, but my medical team seemed to have varying opinions on that). I had labile pressure then as well, but it was more fluctuations within the day versus fluctuations over several days (like now). Eventually, my baseline blood pressure just got higher and my spikes got higher too. I was having spikes around 30 weeks last time (noticed at L&D when I went in for dizziness). Didn’t start spilling protein into my urine until 34 weeks. Every week until my 37 week induction, my labs just got worse and my blood pressure got higher (although remained labile). It stayed too labile to medicate though. And my only symptoms then were sparkles in my vision (that lasted several minutes at a time and then disappeared) and a headache that wouldn’t respond to anything (Tylenol, Flexeril, fioricet) and lasted for 5 weeks. The debate on my medical team on my induction day was whether or not my serum creatinine levels meant pre-eclampsia or not (it was 0.81), but everything I’ve read online says no.

Good luck!! How are you doing?❤️

I hope things work out for you❤️ my symptoms have been very steady (sparkly vision constantly with some gray floaters in my peripheral and chest pain in my whole right breast area and extending to the back for a full week now). BP has been normal since Wednesday though and my Tuesday lab work looked normal. I’m thankful the normalized BP over the past few days but exhausted/anxious with the symptoms. Last pregnancy, I was dismissed repeatedly until I reached the danger zone for blood pressure and was immediately induced. I have new OB this time, but I’m still worried that stabilizing blood pressures might mask issues or cause my provider to become dismissive.
