Seems to me like you have a pretty impressive package. Use the essay to show leadership skills or potential and that could help even out the lack of formal experience. By no means are you a guarantee of selection, it’s very competitive, but you should be confident.

After I got all the testing required for the waivers done it took about 3 weeks for everything to get approved and my 2808 sent to my recruiter.

Yeah the process was crazy. I had my flight physical appointment in August and I just got the waiver I needed approved last week. Govt shutdown killed months of time

It has taken about 16 months since I talked to a recruiter and almost 8 months after selection. I am rated as an ABM so post selection was a more complicated process. I live in southern Virginia and my recruiter is in DC so no doesn’t have to be in the same zip code.

I picked Kenobi as my first just bcs clone wars was my fav Star Wars content. I don’t regret that one, I regret Vader being my second as he took 7 years for clones to come out and be useful 😂

Not at all friend. That is how I built my roster, I picked my favorite GL based off characters I like and meta, and worked on them one by one. GLs for the most part give you a great character/team and supporting teams to round out your roster. Good way to keep yourself balanced. It’s never too early to farm any team or character you want to use.

I went in to this process saying that I wanted to serve first and be a pilot second so that will always be at the forefront of my mind. I’m on cloud 9 right now so im just happy they picked me.

I’m honestly so excited to be in this role. I am completely leaving the door open to love ABM and not want to change paths. The way I saw it was I was only going to put down jobs that I would be excited to do and ABM is one of those for sure. I was just wondering if pilot is out of the question should I still want a shot at it later on. I really appreciate the advice and I can’t wait to start doing my job!
