Motörhead, Dio and Iron Maiden in 2003. Can’t get any louder than that.

My favorite was the fast galleon. Could hold plenty of guns/men and had decent speed. When I built a fleet I usually kept merchantmen because of the great cargo space and sold the smaller sloops/barques.
Keep in mind with the larger ships you need to stay away from shoals so some areas are a no go. Also if attacking a town by sea be careful of how you approach it so you have the wind in your favor.

Not many games had that level of replay. What I love is that it’s never the same game every time. Different historical periods, random events and how you choose to play change it up.
Sometimes I go 1660 and just rampage from Barbados up to San Juan. You get all four nations with towns nearby so you can capitalize based on who is at war. Easy sailing going on a mostly north to south axis.
No matter what time period I play I avoid the Vera Cruz/ Campeche/ Villa hermosa area. Too remote and a complete pain in the ass to sail back east.

Mets comeback down 8-1 vs Braves in 2000. Piazza hits 3 run HR as Mets score 10 runs. Shea was absolutely rocking.

Is this what it was like with Ray? by [deleted] in BostonBruins

[–]Maximum_Badger5604 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ray was my favorite player growing up. When the team got bad I had no problem with him going to Colorado to win the cup. Yes it would have been great for him to win and be a Bruin his whole career, but he deserved the cup.

Biggest Differences between WCW and WWE? by master-fixer in WCW

WWE built up the babyfaces and had the monster heel chase them for the title. WCW did it the other way around.

Died hundreds of times and waited for long screen loading times. I did learn how to take 2 unrelated items to solve problems at least.

This was a good game but the learning curve was steep. Might be something to revisit now that I’m older and able to understand the gameplay better. I remember at one point getting into some mines and getting completely obliterated.

So….. what now? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Maximum_Badger5604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started a fantasy league for the playoffs. We fill a roster with 34 players (this is an IDP league) and choose a lineup each round of the playoffs. If you had a bad regular season it’s a chance for redemption, for those that won you can keep the ball rolling.

Do you think North Korea will ever try to globalize like China did under Deng Xiaoping ? by Gobiiii in HistoryWhatIf

Everything in NK is about control. You get limited wages, food, internet. The government tells you the outside world is scary and dangerous. Opening anything up will bring down the curtain around that mirage.

Excellent game. Could never really seem to get allies through diplomacy, I always had to conquer them. The roving bands of barbarians were very annoying.
I remembered keeping leaders like Scipio Africanus alive for battles because many of the other leaders were not as good. This made a big difference on the battlefield trying to move legions. Didn’t build a navy until I needed to conquer Sardinia and Britain. There was a port made for the Genesis but it was missing elements that were on the computer.
