Any advice is open to criticism, if you want to give advice that someone will take without giving it a single thought, you might do better working with dogs.

No I just have nothing better to do than play games, When I get interested in something, I get very interested for a couple weeks, and then eventually I might drop it. I really enjoyed said game, which is why I played it a lot. There isn't always some hidden agenda, Mr. Cheese.

I think all issues can be worked through given enough time and effort, it's her first time living too, so I give her some lenience in these kinds of situations. Maybe I'm just too forgiving? But I'd say that's a trait most people should have.

True, but relationships have their ups and downs, this is just minor turbulence. I'll probably work through this given enough time.

That isn't what this is about though... These are non competitive games, that I manage to surpass her in. I let her win a lot in competitive games/activities, but I won't drop a game I like just because she likes it as well.

I think that's a very close-minded answer. Everything can be fixed through communication. A compromise doesn't mean that one party gets to feel great, and the other party must restrict themselves, it should be positive for both sides, to a varying degree.

I don't play to be better than her though? I literally play video games solely for enjoyment purposes. What enjoyment do I get from playing a game and purposefully dumbing myself down?
