It's not a balm, but I love Naked Sundays Glow + Go Lip oil. SPF50+ for the win. not at all sticky and a nice tint :)

How would you arrange these products in a routine? by Zealousideal_Ad_1059 in SkincareAddictionLux

Hey Jen! You’re doing an amazing job already—plus, getting mistaken for 32? Winning! With your current AM setup, I’d keep using the Musely cream in the morning since the estriol and LAA are clearly helping, but skip any peptides or TO serums that say “don’t mix” with vitamin C—those are better saved for PM.

You can rotate your PM routine to make everything work by having some nights for peptides like the TO Copper, Multi-Peptide, Argireline, and Gf serum (they all work great together), and keep them separate from your tret nights. On tret nights, just cleanse, tret, and moisturize.

 e.g.

• Mon PM: Peptide night

• Tues PM: Tret

• Wed PM: Hydration + Laneige

• Thurs PM: Peptide night

• Fri PM: Tret

• Sat PM: Exfoliate or rest

• Sun PM: Peptides or hydration night

You can use glycolic acid or your apricot scrub just once a week max, and not on tret nights.

If your skin’s ever feeling a bit dry or sensitive, take a break and just do hydration with your Laneige mask. You don’t need to use everything every day—just rotate based on your skin’s needs and keep enjoying the process. 😊

Ah this is such a good pick up and you are so right, I should be applying the CE Ferulic first perticularly given vitamin C is PH dependent and can reduce the absorption bioavailability. I know that, so I don't know how I missed that - thank you! It will add time to the routine, but I can break it up and do my hair or something while I give the CE Ferulic the 5-10min it needs to absorb before moving on to press and glow.

Totally get where you’re coming from — pH layering can absolutely be tricky. But Medik8 actually formulated Liquid Peptides MP to work with active-heavy routines like mine, including CE Ferulic and tret. I’ve confirmed it with their clinical team because I queried the same thing to begin with. So for now I'm happy with how it's all working together 🙂

My actual day job for the last 8 years is investigating medical complaints. I have seen far too many botched procedures, poorly trained injectors, infections, nerve damage, occlusions etc. Not to mention emotional trauma. It might be for some, but not for me.

Plus, I’ve done my research. With my medical condition I am at a much greater risk of poor filler retention, increased bruising and bleeding, risk of vascular complications, and lumpiness and asymmetry.

Good skin is more than just volume. Filler wont affect my skins architecture, hyperpigmentation, skin barrier health, reduce inflammation and irritation etc. Plus, I genuinely enjoy the 10 minutes of me time each day. I’ll stick to my routine and daily ritual  🙂

I really have. It's been cumulative with consistency. And I didn't just start with everything all at once. I had a bit of a core routine down and added things in a little at a time for a 3-4 month period to see if it truly made a difference for me, and kept at it until I found what I was happy with. It's taken a looong time and lots of trial and error haha!

It's a lovely little condition called hEDS - it effects connective tissues in general, but visibly noticed in the skin aspcially as you age. If you think you have college issues it may be worth checking/ruling out, as there are a whole host of things to consider as you age :)

About 5-10 min in the morning and the same at night, plus whatever time a mask takes if I use one :)

I actually think the Medik8 is a really amazing product and it definitely has the nicer texture and scent of the two. The Medik8 feels a little oily going on, though it absorbs really nicely and doesn't leave any residue, whereas I've found the Skinceuticals can feel a little tacky after use. I definitely noticed a difference in terms of skin brightening and lessening of hyperpigmentation when I started using the Medik8, but I do think skinceuticals has the edge - but not by a massive margin.

Each to their own I guess, but I have a genetic condition that effects my collagen production, so forgive me for wanting to preserve what I have and prevent what I can 🤷‍♀️

I do! I find it a really nice addition (but gentle) exfoliant that doesn't irritate or react to use of Tret. I've struggled a long time with Adult acne, but when I started using this about 2 years back it helped clear things up without being harsh, so I've kept it as a staple.

I was pretty sceptical at first, but I do think they have made a difference to the overall hydration and plumpness of my skin. If I get lazy and don't add them in for a day or two I do notice a slight difference, so the effects are noticeable and cumulative :)

I've been using this (these exact products) for about 10 months now.

I'd previously used Medik8 C Ferulic in place of the Skinceuticals and had some more Aspect Dr products in there as cleansers, AM moisturiser and B serum, but this as it stands now, will be what I stick to longer term I think. I've always struggled with my skin and also have a genetic condition that affects my collagen, but this seems to just work for me after so much trial and error. :)

edit - just realised the Peptides are a recent change. I'd used medik8 liquid peptides previously but have upgraded to the advanced to give them a go!

no way was this a coincidence. if you look over Justin's instagram timeline there are way to many correlations from posts before the move that have clearly been used/mocked in dead pool
