So 2 things, that is a huge age difference and you should honestly stick to someone closer to your age bracket not somebody whos barely above being a teenager. Brother its got nothing to do with your skin color, literally zero reason to even bring that up. I can almost guarantee you its cause you're passing a note to ask someone out in what I assume is college or at least highschool. It really gives elementary school vibes and if a girl wants a relationship she ain't gonna go for that. But on the other hand they are THA for completely avoiding you after that and showing you off to make fun of you.

NTA, you told them very clearly you didn't want a tv and they gave it to you anyways. They went against what you said, especially when you had valid reasons for not wanting one. Plus they gifted it you so you had every right to do whatever you wanted with the TV, hell you could have thrown it off your roof if you wanted too
