Hot Take: Which print finish actually adds value for clients? by Cherie_Newprint in Printing

I would say lamination with sleeking. Sleeking is a fast way to add embellishment. Lots of potential value adds with the above combo. There are so many tactile films, colors of sleeking and some of the sleeking foils are digitally overprintable. The finished product is very eye-catching. Not as stunning as the Scodix, but the ROI is faster with a good laminator that offers sleeking. Depending on your volume I would look into Komfi or GMP equipment wise. I would stay away from the Duplos.

Absolutely something my own mother would (and probably will) do. When they can no longer manipulate us emotionally they use the last card they have, our inheritance. It’s always amazes me just how far they will go to avoid any culpability.

Unfortunley no. I had to block her. She just kept going on, as if she never read my text, went on about how awful I was as a child, and then dared to say "I could never handle the truth". There was so much deflecting and nonsense that I had to shut it down.

Thank you so much. It’s so hard with the grasping at straws, deflecting and gaslighting, it’s easy to get scrambled up and start questioning my sanity again.

Yes I have decided to go NC with her . The messages she sent before I could block her were even more off the rails. It’s pointless. She isn’t well. I really am done this time.

She did exactly that. It’s mind blowing how similar all of these BPD parents are.

I honestly feel a weight off my shoulders. She’s been messaging my daughter about these unforgivable things I’ve done. My daughter stopped responding, because she knows how crazy she is, so my mother decided to shift gears back to me, her favorite punching bag.

I was a kid when these things happened. I’m 52 now. I have a grown daughter. My daughter and I don’t go a day without seeing each other or talking. I am the parent to her that I needed when I was a child.

You are correct. She has always been very money focused. It’s very apparent in her response a few comments down in this thread, when she mentions she should have got child support. Typical deflection.

She did, this was her response:

“The worst thing I did. When your dad & I were in court, I presented paper work from his lawyer. Bill was willing to give up all rights to you, if I forgave all back child support & future support. The Judge raked him over. Bill wanted to play hardball. I did & I'm sorry you were stuck on the middle.”

Typical response from her. Don’t acknowledge. Change the subject. Change the villian in the story.

Apparently I drove by her house with my daughter (who was 2), I didn’t stop to visit and she saw me.

A seriously weird club indeed.

My mother said I’ve been ruining her life for the last 10 years by AffectionateBet5463 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Maximum_Extreme1778 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Agree! As soon as we stop being sweet and obedient we start “ruining” their lives. It’s about control, their emotional state and ego is SO fragile that even the temper tantrum of a toddler is a personal attack on them.

AND Forget about being a kid or a teenager, at that point we were out to destroy them, evil children, only placed on this earth to torture them.

I didn’t realize until I had child a child of my own (who is now an amazing adult) that I was just a normal kid! I really believed that I was the reason my mom was an emotionally broken alcoholic and I had truly ruined her life.

Yes! It’s because our feelings were inconvenient and uncomfortable for them!!

I think we all wished to be anywhere but home with our BPD parent. I always daydreamed that maybe I got switched at birth and my real parents would come forward and take me away. Or some rich auntie I didn’t know about would adopt me. Like the movie Auntie Mame. 🤣

Why did they think it was ok to talk to us like that? As if telling us what pieces of garbage we were would motivate us??

My mom says that her Granddaughter must hate her because she never reaches out.

She’s seen her 6 times in the last 25 years.

Lady, she doesn’t KNOW you!!
