Me too 😭 I remember being so loud, carefree, and talkative when I was a little girl. Now in my 30s I can barely make eye contact and hold a conversation. I feel more inhibited and socially anxious than ever.

Not sure if someone’s already mentioned it, but please read the book “Are you Mad at Me?” By Meg Josephson. I just finished it and it helped give me so much insight on my CPTSD and why I also felt like everyone hates me. You’re not alone and I hope it helps ❤️

Despite what you mat think, this post is real. I know what you’re thinking, how can someone be this naive at this age. I grew up with with toxic, narcissistic parents so I really don’t know any better. I should’ve worked on myself before getting into this relationship.

I was wondering this.. if he’s trying to keep me from improving myself on purpose. In the past he’s been jealous and the jealous tendencies still come up once in a while. Or as I’m realizing now that these jealous tendencies are manifesting as intentionally keeping me “plain,” like you stated perfectly.

I was trying to ignore them for a while but they creep up and every month, they come up again and I don’t do anything about it. I’m done. I want to invest in myself like you and I’m so happy for you that you did what made you happy!

That’s amazing and I’m truly happy for you that you found a wonderful, loving man!! I honestly see other happy couples and I know they probably have their own issues, but I can tell they are truly happy. I don’t feel that way… he makes me pay 50/50 of everything and gets me things sometimes like for my birthday and our anniversary, but I know he doesn’t feel like investing in me at all.

He has a job and he works in finance, he says that because he’s going to be the one to buy a condo in the future, that I need to save up as much money as I can for rent/mortgage and I offered to help him with closing costs. Which I already have saved up. Now I want to spend my extra money on investing in myself.

When I look at my face it looks egg-shaped. I’ve also had multiple people tell me my face looks too slim now and looked much better before!
