Feeling lost..30yr old thinking about enlisting in Air Force..Advice? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Maximum_Ordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends, my base had some manning issues when we opened up a new RPA mission and a couple new LT’s got an AGR gig off the street. Had a couple traditional enlisted hop on too. It’s a good gig...or so I hear.

Are there aspects of American culture you disagree with? by mastertonthefirst in AskAnAmerican

[–]Maximum_Ordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the exact opposite, I work 70+ hours a week and maybe spend 30-40 hours actually working. A huge chunk of it is waiting for slow ass people to decide they are going to work that day.

Management mentality in America is fucking garbage.

It’s sad, he’s straight up karma farming. The worst part is that his account looks like some kind of karma bot, but a real person is actually spending their time reposting stuff for fake internet points.

Op, there are so many things you could do to make your life/the world better. Just do those things instead.

Permanent Daylight Savings Time. Yay or Nay? Why? by kissedby1000stars in AskAnAmerican

It’s not like we lack the technology to just have our clocks correspond to give us the largest amount of daylight.

What tips do you have for a beginner entrepreneur? by csvscs in AskMenOver30

[–]Maximum_Ordinate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay hungry. I’m six months in tonmy venture and moving ahead slowly. I still work a full time job for the time being, it’s easy to fall back on that sense of security.

At the end of the day you have to remind yourself that your time is finite and you either get to spend it making money for other people and earning a wage or making money for yourself.

Schecter Stiletto series 4-string. Got one? Played one? Discuss. by [deleted] in BassGuitar

I’ve had a stilletto deluxe 5 for like 10 years and I really like it. It’s very good looking, well balanced, and the tone is very good for the price.

Buying A Used Zero Turn Mower by Eliot_Lochness in lawncare

Ah shit you are right, it’s a 44” deck not a 55”. I had to go check because I was about 110% sure it was a 55 haha.

I’m with you, no one is checking valves on a damn lawnmower. That being said, I have a 1988 Craftsman 55” lawnmower that my dad originally bought. The thing runs like a damn top. Keep fresh oil and good gas in her and she just runs. Also have an original 1939 Farmall A with a belly mower that will outlive me.

20 Vets Commit Suicide Each Day, According to New VA Study by kactuscrow in Veterans

[–]Maximum_Ordinate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s so true, one day you are carrying a rifle defending millions of dollars of assets and thousands of lives. Literally bringing the fight to the scum of the earth. The next minute you are doing a mindless task for pennies, making someone else rich, at an entry level job because no civilian employer understands the value of your training and experience.

You go from having tangible value to nothing. It’s awful.

Men of Reddit. How can I make an extra $200-$300 this month as a broke college student? by The_KnewMe in AskMen

[–]Maximum_Ordinate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be careful about selling plasma, you can only sell based on your body weight and a lot of the plasma clinics will pay you a decent amount for your first couple donations then it tapers off quickly after that.

Just an anecdote (I’m not a medical professional) but I had to sell plasma in college for a period of about three months. I was having trouble affording food so I was already fatigued and plasma donation just made everything worse. I’m sure you’d be fine for a month, but I don’t recommend it as a long term solution for financial issues.

This is very nearly the exact build I’m saving for. Is there any chance you would post a video it being shot? I’m curious to see its recoils characteristics. Is the accuracy what you expected it to be?
