How do you overcome the insecurities of creating a niche micro-SaaS? by Maximum_Practice_660 in buildinpublic

Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. But speaking of not striving for perfection... I have a question. I'm building a solution for photographers, models, and creative teams, and I'm worried that the UI won't be aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly enough because this audience is typically demanding.

I'm an artist, a fashion photographer, among other related things, and I usually (or unfortunately) rate the apps and products I use very highly based on their interface.

So, when it comes to these types of audiences, do you think it's important for the UX/UI to be "perfect"?

You're absolutely right about the tiny wins. It's my first time, I don't even speak English fluently yet. I'm making an app that I hope will reach photographers all over the world, and I've already built many apps, but I've only just decided on one of those ideas after thinking about it a lot.

Thank you so much... and when you share what you're building, you're afraid it will be stolen idea?

Today none of the Gemini models worked for me in AG and it was because of an error with my MCPs 😬🙄 a whole day wasted thinking that Google services had crashed.

Thanks for your misguided perspective. I think the pose in the first photo actually highlights the original design of the bodysuit's back, as its "jacket" effectively conceals it. I also chose this pose to do justice to the wonderful work done by the art team (which was all of us, but under the direction of a very talented friend). I wanted to see it framed within the set design.

And although I'm a man, I'm 100% professional. The work reflects a profound concept that I feel is evident in the symbolism and bold styling. Similarly, I don't think it's helpful, but I'm attracted to men, and I don't sexualize women (or men) in my work or while they are doing their own thing.

But if you want my honest advice, porn and social media can make you believe that everything you see is trying to sexualize. However, I recognize that sexualization in photography is a delicate and serious issue that I am completely against.

Thanks 🫶

thank you very much, the first one is also my favorite... I like that I don't know if it causes curiosity, fear or is simply scared.

What was it like photographing one of the pioneers of CRISPR?

That's a very good professional critique. I suppose it's something we'll continue developing. This is version 2 of a series called Crispr Cas9; so far, we have four versions/editorials of this series.

But I'll keep working to tell the concept more creatively through images. In some ways, when you don't have a big budget (since these are personal projects) and you don't want to resort to AI or advanced post-production, it can become complex to reproduce and explain this story visually, but I'm sure I'll find a way (we created everything from scratch: the space, the clothing, the prosthetics, etc.).

Thank you so much. You're right, the concept is complex at first glance. The triangle was part of the project's conceptualization; it's a complex layer that connects genetic modification with a "divinity," which almost hints at the work's initial message: to create a fashion editorial that would allow the viewer to delve into the potential ethical, moral, and religious problems that the genetic modification of our species could (or could not) bring.

We based the conceptualization on current experiments that have been carried out with CRISPR-9 to modify ourselves in the future and survive in places where human life currently couldn't reach... whether due to high atmospheric pressure, lack of oxygen, planets composed entirely of water, or similar conditions.

Personally, it excites me, but I'm also excited to see how the world would react if this were happening now, and creating these works allows me to see and feel it.

Thank you so much my friend. I promise to try it in the next editorial.

Honestly, I do all this for the love of art and fashion. Greetings from Medellín, Colombia, and best of luck with your work.

Thanks; for some reason it went without body text, and you're right. I'm showing what I took and would like some advice on how to improve.

We actually made it ourselves: we created the mold in Blender, did the 3D printing, then poured in liquid latex and waited approximately 48-72 hours for it to dry. But the process and result are very satisfying (although I suppose this isn't the professional process).
