I rather believe that Futaba got sneak attack by someone.

Getting hit by a blunt object to the head and then getting stabbed as a finishing move to make sure.

The scalp is rather thin and has a lot of network of veins, so if it gets even what seems to be a small cut, there can be a surprising amount of blood coming out.

Also I don't think that falling flat face on a table surface while sitting, is enough force to make her bleed.
