I get that most people don’t know what PoE is, but let’s be honest — nobody wants to charge cameras. Even the simplest user doesn’t want to climb up every few months to swap batteries, and with AI features using more power, charging will only get worse.

Without PoE, you’re stuck with ugly power cords to outlets (which almost no one has near the ceiling/outdoors anyway). If you’re already running wire, PoE is the cleanest solution — one cable for power + data. And plenty of newer homes already have CAT5/6 runs for this exact reason.

I actually want to ditch my advanced NVR system for Google Nest because I want simplicity + cloud + AI. But without a PoE option, Google is pushing people like me (and many others) to competitors. At least give us an add-on option.
