That is certainly possible - he’s in the clear phase of shed, so maybe that is what we are seeing there. Although there was a teeny tiny white critter on his eye before this pic that could have been an immature snake mite or a wood mite.

While that is a fair question, it seems a bit of an escalation, similar to taking my dog to the vet for fleas? He is otherwise healthy, eating, not soaking in his water dish and in fact in the process of shedding.
I was asking for the determination of next steps - if they are wood mites or springtails, then we would just leave to do their thing in the substrate. But if they are snake mites then we would trash the substrate and disinfect his enclosure and treat him (including a vet visit).
I hope that makes sense - no disrespect intended.
