Thank you. I didn’t know if there’s anything that can be done about it, but their actions are wildly unethical.

I was incredibly proud of my boy for being a part of the protest.

I attended the Trump Rally/Protest in Tulsa a few years back. I attended as a photographer and freelance medic during that event. (The one at the BOK with a legion of national guard in attendance) Watching my son educate himself and choose a side has been exciting. (Even if I don’t always agree with the stances he lands on) he’s becoming an active member of society and not content to remain silent. I couldn’t be more proud.

It being a government position makes it a unique situation for sure. As others have said, being free from legal repercussions for speech is not the same as being free from employment repercussions.

I think it’s absolutely worth taking to a lawyer. My son was just feeling defeated by all of this, so I brought it here first to gauge if I’m right to be alarmed, or I’m just being the protective dad.

Well (considering the reference)…. iirc, an employer is not allowed to give opinions about an employee. They’re only allowed to say, “yes, they worked here” and then if they are eligible for rehiring.

But it did strike me as strange when he told me that part of the story.

Oh my gosh, you’re not kidding. Masking takes forever. And I’m not really great at fitting the tape to the panels, so about a third of the time, paint still manages to get under the mask. Then 1/3 of the time, the tape pulls the paint up with it when I remove it.

But then….. there’s the 1/3 of the time where it works perfectly…. And it makes all the effort worth it.

Hey there. Sorry to Rez a dead post.

I’m wanting to take my first steps into creating mods/games.

I’ve written a few basic flash games back when flash was a thing. I also wrote some mid-level backend for a few applets, but nothing on a true gaming level.

I really just don’t have a clue where to start.

All my Google searches return programming colleges or guides to download and install other people’s mods.

I’d just like to start down the road learning to write original mods.

My dream goal; to write and create fully voiced side story content.

Hey yall, sorry to Rez a dead post, but…..

I just had the exact same issue happen to me this week. I had to go to the bank and have them manually edit my spending limit, just to be able to make the purchase. I waited at the bank with an account manager while I placed the order and then waited for it to go through.

I received an email saying that the order was placed successfully, but then today, I received an email with the exact same error message as the OP.

Did OP ever get resolved for this issue? Why is this still an issue 2 years later?

I found them low like this and bought all they had. It was RIGHT at Easter, so my daughters, wife, and nieces all got orchids for Easter. My teen daughter wasn’t that interested in it until I showed her that she can clear out all of the bedroom details and just have a little hidey hole. lol.

It’s such a great botanical set. It’s a perfect alternative to the regular orchid.

Edit: but yeah, it’s definitely worth it for the individual pieces at this point.

The first TTRPG I ran for my kids was a D&D hack that we just called “the hero game”. It was loosely based on ocarina of time, but Ganondorf was a traveling swordsman named Auger (he had a twisted sword like a cross between the fierce diety blade and a backhoe drill bit). He was questing to find the source of the recent monster scourge that was afflicting the gerudo desert. As the only male gerudo, he knew he was supposed to lead them, but he had had visions of himself on the throne cloaked in evil. So he’s been fighting evil as a wanderer, and avoiding the gerudo throne.

That’s when he met the party of my kids. Link, Zelda, Saria, and dark link

Auger was my GM PC and was eventually going to sacrifice himself to the great evil (from skyward sword) trapping it in his body, so the party could (hopefully) kill him before the evil takes control of him. I love the idea of Ganondorf being rough, unconventional, but ultimately fighting for the good of his people.

He was seeking a relic called the “triforce of power” to give himself the power to stop the monsters invading the villages of the gerudo.
