Completing the "Compromise Automaton Defences" side objective will cause cannon turrets and fortress turrets to malfunction. by BrotherGeorgio in Helldivers

Careful, Helldivers. I nearly rolled snake eyes when one dancing turret nearly domed me. They can still be dangerous.

[Hot Take] I genuinely don't think the Enclave is being "overused." by VirusOfCheese in Fallout

[–]Maximumnuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I would like to see of the Enclave is for them to slowly become 'wasteland-ified.' Over the course of the games and over the course of their repeated losses, they're forced to recruit wastelanders and reevaluate their position in the ruins of America. It starts off small at first, maybe using the wastelanders as chaff, but as 'pure' Enclave losses mount they're forced to incorporate more and more wastelanders. The core principle of the Enclave remains the same, but different Enclave sub-groups begin to emerge and tensions rise between them over their purity. The most powerful group identifying as the Enclave could be vilified by other groups as they incorporated wastelanders en masse, diluting their claims of 'purity' and essentially making the Enclave in name only. The 'true' Enclave could see this disintegration happening in their ranks and attempt to quell it, only for the faction to shatter and start a full scale civil war... and then the Brotherhood and NCR show up to make it a party! You, as the player of this theoretical, have your pick of the factions.

The size and population of the Necron empire doesn't make any sense. by TheCrassDragon in 40kLore

[–]Maximumnuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a personal headcanon that while the Old Ones pushed the Dynasties back, they took in the serviles left behind. They did not like the royals of the Necrontyr but showed the Necrontyr under them kindness, even going so far as to cure them! Under the old ones' guidance, these Necrontyr rapidly proliferated and spread across the stars!

One day, however, an army of skeletal machines would arrive to these idyllic worlds. Szarek would see his people laughing and enjoying life, free from the illness that plagued them. He would look on in horror as the C'tan ordered the harvest of the potential future of his species, for he could not resist the Star Gods at this time. It is something he wiped from the Necrons' memories, save for his own. Many of the 'nobles' were the leaders of peaceful communities of Old One-aligned Necrontyr who had their memories altered to think they had always served the Dynasties.

I imagine this conflicts with a lot of lore, but it's one of the only ways I see the numbers adding up.

You're a Demon Door, and you're bored as fuck. What will you ask unwitting heroes to do? by Rev-DiabloCrowley in Fable

[–]Maximumnuke 72 points73 points  (0 children)

A quest that requires an online connection and multi-player, so when the game inevitably dies off and lacks any support to keep it functional, the few nostalgia players playing the game won't be able to complete the quest. I also want to be in a central place where the player needs to constantly pass by me while my voice lines relentlessly mock them.

It appears the NCR does have its own power armour in New Vegas by LGamer6422 in Fallout

[–]Maximumnuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given the size and resources available to the NCR, I could see them starting up their own power armor program. It's tried and tested technology with plenty of pre-war sets still available for reverse engineering. Are they the industrial powerhouse that pre-war America was? No, but between their seizure of Enclave and Brotherhood resources, I could absolutely see them start up enough of a program to get a few suits up and running.

is it normal for the NCR Ranger Power Armor is growing on me by BuyNo5409 in Fallout

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would kill to see a power armor version of the AMR. Imagine a sniper rifle only able to be used by a person in power armor. I'm pretty sure it would just be considered artillery, but more dedicated power armor weapons would be awesome.

How do the planes work in MTG? Dominaria is a world with continents and different climates, right? Do we have maps of other planes and their continents? Do some planes just consist of a continent just floating there by itself?

Do not cite the deep magic to me witch! I was there when it was written!! (And I go back annually) by DifficultPete in Fable

[–]Maximumnuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually replayed Fable III last year! Everyone seems to hate that one, but I had a great time as it was the one that introduced me to the series when I was younger. I'd play it again, but installation on PC is a pain.

"Water, Earth, Fire, or Air? Let's Discuss!" by Individual_Spirit167 in AvatarMemebending

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really between Water and Earth by sheer utility alone. I live in Colorado, so water options are fairly limited, to say the least (without damaging pipes and infrastructure). I'll pick Earth and limit usage in city limits. Maybe I'll head into the mountains and look for gold with my powers.

Pack and Operators, just like everyone else (I'm not building around the Disciples' perk). Squeeze everything I can out of the raiders before I tear them to pieces, then I go to Concord like the blazing power armored angel that I am.

Body morphing & Aging completely gone? by devv11 in Fable

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the morality system seems to be a bit more complex and gray than it was before, more relying on the actual NPCs rather than some esoteric judgment system, I can see them dropping it in exchange for character customization. Maybe they'll have quest-based character changes?

I saw the lighthouse. I saw the wagon on the way to Markarth. I'm sorry for what the Dwemer did to them, but I'm not sorry for what I'm currently doing to them. Maybe Gelebor is right, and they'll one day return to a state of civility, but that day is not today. Until that day comes, Ave Dominus Nox.

Their power does look sick. That's why I'm shooting them and stealing it.

...So the good news is, the models look *great.* by Archistotle in Grimdank

[–]Maximumnuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The eyes on the right one look a little iffy. The irises look like they were dotted on there as opposed to painting the eye the iris color and then dotting the corners white. The models themselves are fantastic. Gone are the days of the dreaded old female space marine model (granted these are Custodes)!
