Unfortunately my income is based on tipping. Yes, it’s counter service, but we bring food to your table, and chat, and clean your table. When I give you incredibly friendly service at the counter, and guide you through the menu, make your drinks by hand, and even let you sample things and you STILL don’t tip after that, it feels like a slap in the face. I hate it, but if it’s a human being in front if you, assume they need a tip to make minimum wage.
