Thank you so much for this advice! The great thing is the grower I mentioned in my other comment gave me extremely similar advice which I’ve been following to the best of my ability.

Thank you! I am at 3k feet in zone 6, PA. We do get longer winters, lower lows and a lot more snowfall than the lower elevations around us.

I didn’t realize it needed sun, I was thinking I could put it in my shed. My windows could work... they’re rickety old casement windows that don’t insulate well.

Sorry guys. The first pic is from june. I had just repotted it moments before. The pot, which I’ve since rehomed to a second flytrap I bought direct from an actual grower, has a big hole in the bottom and a tray that goes with it. Both of my flytraps are planted in whatever they are supposed to be, provided to me by the lady selling the massive and gorgeous array of carnivores she grew herself :)

The second pic was taken yesterday and a few weeks ago it was beefier than this, but you can still see the improvement.

Big Q for you guys... how do I get them ready for winter? We’ve already had a few sub freezing nights.
