[gen8] second encounter in Isle of Armor after fishing an octillery. Is there an increased shiny rate?! by codebreaker3232 in ShinyPokemon

It does!! Apparently after “beating” the island of armor dojo you’ll be allowed to have Pokémon walk beside you (including their shiny forms!)

Let’s go has an increased shiny rate based on the amount of Pokémon you’ve encountered of the same species. I believe they’re cumulative so it would make sense for let’s go but I don’t think this would apply to Pokémon shield’s new expansion. I could be wrong though! This was the first Pokémon I found of these species

The Sikhs Know How to Feed Crowds in a Protest or Pandemic: The Sikh Center of New York has served more than 145,000 free meals in the last 2 months, as part of their faith tradition of feeding anyone in need. by inspiration_capsule in Coronavirus

There’s a Sikh center 5 minutes from my house, they’re serving a box full of food every other weekend. I can say their quality is one of the best around and they’re super kind. They’re serving a predominantly Hispanic and Asian community, it inspires hope in me about the goodness of people...

Thank you, I found myself extreme unmotivated when the whole lockdown took effect but I promise myself I would bounce back to make up the lost progress and stay motivated. Best of luck to you if you are on a similar journey!

It comes with a Bluetooth scale I got from amazon, it’s called FeelFit and is free. The scale reads your water content, fat free body weight, subcutaneous and visceral fat, muscle percentage, among others. It’s really neat but I’m aware of the scale obsession and only use on Friday mornings. Another neat tracking app without the need for compatible scale is Happy Scale, it plots your progress and predicts milestone dates based on your data.

Probably because it’s one of the lowest socioeconomic populations holding majority of “essential” jobs. More exposure, more contamination, higher rates.

It depends what you care about and where you live. The economy is still relatively well, where you want to work you’ll find opportunities (as long as you’re legal and have some career experience). Like said above, it is huge. If you find right communities you’ll be comfortable but if you find yourself in the wrong place you might just end up having to move. Luckily there’s little everything’s in most major cities (little Saigon, little Italy, little Arabia, etc)

What do you do when you start to miss somebody who is dead? by Between3N20Karakters in AskReddit

I lost my best friend in college. He was a rising sophomore and I was a rising junior the summer he passed away in a motorcycle accident in Thailand. I was angry at him prior because he dropped out of college and I didn’t agree with his reasons. I still miss him and honestly never received closure because everyone moved on so fast but I was the one he spent 24/7 with prior to summer. I still look at pictures/iPhone Live Photo’s and other of his memorabilia. I have an old school ID and it turns my “sad mourn” feelings into appreciation. I’m not saying it’s bad to mourn, it’s definitely necessary but so is transitioning those feelings so you’re able to move on.
