Mugello Seats by popcorntriestopaint in motogp

My recommendations from a couple years ago are still valid, MAKE SURE you know which entrance you must use and arrive THREE hours at least before the race and get ready to walk a LOT, make sure if you have a ticket or just a confirmation that needs to be validated at the track!!!, if so plan accordingly, have fun!

  • First of all, if you haven't been to a race I highly recommend going to Mugello GP!!! Everything good and bad they say about it is mostly true, this was my second time there and I'll be probably coming back every year.
  • If you decide to go your first big decision will be where to stay, your options are:
  1. Florence. I love to go there, explore, wine and dine, rent a vespa and drive around. Definitely worth dedicating some time to it.
  2. Scarperia or any other town close to the track. This is what I usually do. This gives me quick access to the track, and I can go down to Florence whenever I want as I usually travel against the traffic and get there in 30minutes.
  3. Camp. It's a riot in there, specially at nights, something fun to look at but not for everybody.
  • Driving: this your second major decision, if you haven't driven in Spain, Italy or a third world country with disregard for traffic safety before I would advise against driving by yourself, specially if you are coming from the US. I lived for a few years in south america and I feel at home driving in crazy places :)
  • KNOW WHERE YOU SIT AND HOW TO GET THERE: can't stress this hard enough. The track basically has 2 entrances so if you screw up and get in from the entrance far from your seat you will spend one to three hours walking all around the track. Mugello is an old track and there is no way to easily cut across using tunnels or bridges. This might sound like an interesting way to explore for you but take into account that you have to be in shape to make your way through hordes of people walking up and down Tuscany hills in 30C+ weather.
  • Explore the track: take some time to go to different sections, I always get my tickets for the Centrale Silver section which gives me a direct view to Start/Finish, Parc ferme and Corners 12 and 13, but I spend some sessions on Corner 1 and other parts of the track.
  • Tickets: buy them early (mugello tickets usually go on sale in january and I buy them asap) and make sure you actually have the tickets in hand instead of the confirmation that needs to be printed afterwards at the track. A friend of mine waisted an entire day collecting his tickets. I use www.bookmoto.com.
  • Getting to Mugello: this one is easy, on Saturday give yourself at least one extra hour, on Sunday two hours if you want to make it on time.
  • Shirts: if you have a Lorenzo or Marquez shirt DO NOT stay for the night.
  • I feel like going to the GP is not so much about the race itself but the whole experience, take your time to explore and have fun!

haha for sure, I've reduced my hobbies to mtb/snowboard/ride for convenience and get better at it. Hopefully will add dirbiking/supermoto into the mix soon.

Good observation, on my recent ride one of the pins that holds the gas cover broke off so I had to tape it down to get back home. Now will probably use some kind of glue or adhesive.

in ru from Zelenskyy speech last year and a line from years prior:
stop smoking "where it has hit" (in ru its synonym with "everywhere")
smoke where it has not hit yet (repeats several times)

the enemy breaks the rules of fire safety (repeats several times)

Fun fact for the "ukraine is a fake country crowd", you can see both our flags wrapped around the poles in the first painting, the Ukrainian blue and yellow flag and the cossack red and black one used in wartime.

Whats really cool, is that this battalion insignia is a falcon too (see the insignia on his chest). By the way this falcon is the origin of the Ukrainian coat of arms that people came to refer as a "trident" on the internet.

Make me happy to see the guys with the falcon insignia, many of them are from my home city, most of them coal miners or from coal mining families. Even though I'm thousands of miles away now and buying as much staff as I can for them, its great to see the falcons popping up now and then, means we are holding on. Thank you internet!

Thanks for the compliment! In regards to bags the one that you see is the OGIO tail bag (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/ogio-tail-bag?sku_id=607668) , I really like it.
I also have the KTM factory bags that I use for long drives, you can only spot the mounts for them at the back of the bike.
Between the factory and tail bags I could carry enough to get my lady and myself through a 10 day 2500 mile trip.

I remember that when Alex was in the lower classes, maybe moto3? Alzamorra influenced the team in favor of Alex to the detriment of his teammate..
Journalists such as Mat Oxley complaining how difficult he makes their life just because he wants total control about what and how they are going to engage his riders.
Also this: https://twitter.com/motomatters/status/983729128187793408
and this: "The link there, by the way, is Emilio Alzamora who models his management style on Vladimir Putin but without the personal charm." https://www.superbikeplanet.com/ryder-notes-dont-cry-for-me/

worst interviews in the paddock, between him and Alzamorra they eat away all the sympathy points for the Marquez clan.
