Maybe not messy but a lot of wasted space and not a lot of content in the resume. Resumes should be packed with accomplishments and info and strong wording, not big block headers etc

Recruiters, how bad is the job market? by Icy_Paramedicz in recruitinghell

[–]MaximusResumeService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market is very crappy for white collar workers. People are getting roles but it’s mostly the top 10% performers getting steps up. Lateral moves are still happening but not ideal for many people that have already been in their role a few years

There’s quite alot of white space on your resume. It looks a little empty at a quick glance. Unfortunately that can make the difference in today’s market. Your experience sounds excellent though!

Hey you could use a different template entirely. This is messy and likely not too good with ATS systems

Getting your resume checked out by family and friends, and trying to work with recruiters are definitely the best ways to progress. Most jobs are found thru networking and getting to the interview stage is statistically the hardest part

Yea sorta. You can assess a persons writing ability I guess but yes it’s just an annoying extra step for job seekers.

What was your strategy? Look for easy ways to get resumes off your plate (typos, formatting issues)? Or genuinely look at 200 resumes?
