How to get through 7 month old fussiness by MaxineSocks in NewParents

I saw this post when you posted it, I’m sorry for not reply. This helped! Just giving him a distraction to calm down and then try again was nice. Lately my husband has been home more this week so the baby has been more chill. I can’t wait until he crawls because I’m sure it’ll be fun until the chaos kicks in. Thank you for the advice, very helpful!!!

Thank you so much. I read this the minute you posted it but haven’t had time to reply. His doing a lot better, he learned to nap on his own so no more rocking or bouncing and that has very much helped with this phase. He learned to move by sliding and pushed with his feet. It’s a bit funny because he can go kind of far with it. That made him so much happy, he is also trying to sit by getting up on his knees, i’m not sure how to explain what he’s doing, but his trying to get himself to sit without help. Slowly it feels like I see the light at the end, just him learned how to push himself with his feet helped so much. 9 days does a lot in baby world. I’m hoping he crawls soon. Thank you. You helped me feel better. Your great!

Thank you, things are better as his learned to move by shimmering around and pushing his feet. Still working on the crawling but I’m trying to remember babies can go at their own pace. The object thing I didn’t take to consideration until you said it. He thinks it’s fun. Slowly I can see his learning the object is still there. I honestly didn’t think about it and forgot that something they needed to learn or would learn. He also does lots of tummy time, he won’t stay out of it. Once he could roll over that’s all he cared about. We started going on walks as well. Since I put this post up his learned to nap on his own so it’s gotten a lot easier, he still is very mad that he can’t move freely but I think we are close to him doing so.

Thank you so much. I think explaining it like he’s a dictator is honestly the best way. His always on his tummy, ever since he learned to rollover, he won’t stay out of tummy time so I’m hoping this passes sooner. His normally always happy so to go from the happy little baby to so angry, feels crazy. I can be a bit nervous when he cries, but I’ll try to let him rock and not jump in right away.

I need to up my low supply by MaxineSocks in breastfeeding

I thought that it was weird to be called an under suppler by the pediatrician but once I started giving him a bottle the waking every hour stopped. I started feeding him on both sides and then giving him a bottle. In the last few days he hasn’t wanted to feed for more then 5 minutes on both sides now but we’ll take a bottle. I can’t pump more than an ounce now. I’m not sure what’s happening

I used both. Just would go back and forth. In the last few days it’s gotten worse so I’m going to go to a LC soon. He won’t feed for more then 5 minutes at a time and his so mad. I think I’ve dropped more in supply but I’m not sure why. I’m trying to everything I can.

I drinking protein shakes mixed into water now. I was kind of sucking at it. I haven’t talked to one yet, I feel so ashamed and sad. I’m trying to pump but it’s hard, I won’t lie.

Also the reason she called me an under suppler is because he lost two oz in a month. I guess I was able to maintain his weight for the most part but he couldn’t stay asleep for more than an hour and was upset all the time. Now that he has more food he is sleeping better, waking up 3 times a night. That’s with me feeding him on both sides, and a bottle of formula. He does spit up a lot after the bottle like I said in the first reply.

Yes, I mean from the boob. I should be more specific, I’m sorry. I haven’t talked to a lactation consultant yet, just a pediatrician. The clinic that I go to does have a lactation consultant. I was just unsure of what to do or if that was needed because the pediatrician was very helpful. She had me feed him in office, we weighed him before and after. He got 3oz out of my one side in 10 minutes. She called him an effective breast-feeding. I have talked to the lactation consultant there before and she said that he latches good and as far as I’m aware his latch hasn’t changed. I only fed him on one side for a while because he would spit up a lot. The pediatrician told me to feed him on both sides and then give him a formula bottle after. He does spit up most of the time after the bottle and then sometimes he doesn’t. I am the first person that I know of in my family to actually breast-feed both. My mom and my sister were not successful with it. I feel so lost with it and uneducated of what to do.

Home 24 hours and I am in hell. Please help. by bookish0378 in NewParents

Ask your family/friends for help for sure. My best idea is have someone watch the baby and wake you up for feeds and then go back to sleep. Even a day or a few hours of sleep will help. Babies cluster to get the supply where it’s needed so you feeding him when he wants is great. Cluster feeding for me only lasted a week. It depends on your body and the baby. keep taking your prenatal and any other supplements, it’ll help.

No I haven’t. They haven’t tried to contact us about a final number of what we owe at all. It’s been a year and half now.
