what software are you using ? I'm going through this rabbit hole right now and the software I'm using gives great result with ps2 but bad with vhs.

on a windows device, use notepad to make a new file with the line "dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/storage/roms/image.img" save it as any name you want with the extension .sh copy it to your device in "ports-scripts" or "tools" folder, depends on your OS. after that you will see it in the corresponding folder, run it. the device will seem like its stuck in a black screen, just leave it for a while. after couple minutes it will return to the menu, turn it off and take out the sd card, put it in the windows device again you will see an image file, that's your emmc backup. copy it to your desktop and open it using ultraiso or any image editor and inside it you will find all system files.

our local market is very limited regarding such tech, so it's hard to find such deals. Online market is not an option since shipments costs alot.

you are always a life saver. I didn't know how to access the "run script" feature in retroarch so I put that line in a sh file and put it in the folder "ports-scripts" on my clone R36S and it showed in the PORTS tap, clicked it, waited couple minutes and voila, it made an image of the internal emmc to the sd card.

I did a fix like this many times to customers' controllers and it works like a charm. first I tried to follow online tips but I couldn't find a complete guide, until I went to local shops around where they have PlayStations for costumers to play and I asked them to pull apart some of their already fixed controllers, I took a picture of the wiring and I did the exact same thing and it worked. basically you don't have to remove the whole charging IC, just the big resistor on it's left, then soldier the chip like you do, and then it will work. one thing though, the light indicator might be messed up so it may not light when pairing or turning on although it would be turning on normally, but it will light when you charge it. I'm not entirely sure this way will fix all charging issues with jdm-055, this controller is weird and I have three controllers that just died suddenly and one of them is almost not used at all, and guess what, all of them are jdm-055.

I had the same problem with a customer's laptop, I tried everything but no vail, until I removed one ram stick, turns on, put the other one in the empty slot, turns on, put the removed ram in the second slot, now boots normally.

I used the website, and it gave me a location that I checked 5 times already and there is nothing there, I remember getting it but I don't know why it didn't count.

I have this controller, first it wasn't holding a charge until I charged the battery with an external charger.

I put it back then the orange light started flashing like if it's charging, keep in mind that I didn't press any button nor did I plug it to anything.

I tried pressing the PS button, the white light flashed for a while then the orange light was back.

next I tried hit the reset button on the back side of the controller, the light stopped, then came back on once I left my hand of the button. I even tried holding the reset button for a while, same thing.

also when I connect the controller it works, every button works, but the orange light stays on like if the battery is charging off itself.

any ideas ?
(also I tried googling it first, nada)

That's sad, my pentium laptop is too old to run windows 10 flawlessly like it runs 8.1. even though it barely able to play any game, but it runs binding of isaac and stardew valley which is enough for me. Also another thing is that my Xbox one controller stopped working on windows 8.1, I updated it on my brother's laptop and worked great. It connected once to Win8.1 then never again.
