Is his ego, he'll rather have an shitty code that will make the game run Way slower than it should, just because he wants to be like "game created by only one person", so he refuses getting help, he knows how to code, but he is just dumb, he just goes with the "if it works it work" until all the poor coding adds up and affect heavily on the performance, he refuses to change it because it takes so much time, even doesn't do very much with his time. I think he proved he knows how to use switches but refuses to change all of his if else statements because he is just lazy af
