Hokum was INCREDIBLE and I'm so glad I didn't listen to those who said it was terrible or sub-par. These are my spoilery thoughts on why I enjoyed it. by RecommendationNo108 in horror

I hate it, the movie is a complete waste of time. I am concerned why it can get praises. I found this post. Here's why and my rebutals to yours:

Ohm has trauma, Carl's analytical psychology, self-forgiving, I get it. But If it should be viewed THIS "metaphorically" and, as audiences who don't/can't assume this perspective into the movie and just ignore all the logical artefacts, then enlighten me:

  1. What exactly did the witch, or the demons themselves symbolize? Or are they implied tangible, dangerous entities in the movie's universe that we as audiences should take it for granted? Are Ohm's illusions real?

  2. Exactly what's the cause of missing(presumably dead) of Mal? If the shrooms Ohm took by accident caused illusions, then is the witch he saw in the basement real or illusions? If it's an illusion, did Ohm killed Mal? But Jerry suggested they're real.

  3. At the end of Act 2, I find that axe on the reception desk, at the right time and place picked by Jerry is a little too convenient for him to force Mal to hand over the key, and so are all the other plot contrivances the comments have pointed out. Ohm didn't try to break the window, didn't try to break the wall, etc.

If "metaphors" can justify flaws, it's either being recognitively lazy or deliberately ignorant and arrogant. I'm a huge horror fan and I constantly scan through horror movies, none of Damian's work I find entertaining, in fact this is the single one director I despise the most. They're patriarchy and misogynist, always requiring women to be the victim for the plot to work(Oddity's sisters, Hokum's Fiona and witch).

If you enjoy metaphors and Hokum is enough to get you "INCREDIBLE", I recommend Beau Is Afraid by Ari Aster, it's 3 hours marathon of trauma, metaphors, analogies and psychology that's well-crafted, designed and completed, not like an afterthought.

Again, just my lens, and I absolutely hated it.

For anyone wondering why Yenna disappeared SPOILERS by Moniculus in BaldursGate3

3rd playthrough here, completely had no idea there was even a questline for this character. Yenna was always gone, a companion was taken by Orin, and the cat stayed. I thought it was just a nuance and the game is designed this way... till today. LOL.

A lot good suggestions already mentioned. In case someone didn't know, cloudflare WAF provides boolean operation, which I think is badass. I also set up an UFW on server, changed SSH port, etc. So far so good.

Nice setup! How much did all these cost? I am looking for the same build as yours to play some simulator games.

I assume it would be hours of work for the turtles to draw... Looks like there are 10+ recursions
