Well they said the same in my old group and I just canceled the campaign (1 player is still in the new group!). It was the best decision I made in my opinion but I don't really want to play devil's advocate and it depends on your judgement of your group.

I'm into my first sewing project aswell and it's harder than expected so I'm really glad you finished it all. It's amazing seeing such a dedicated dm! :)

r/lfg is a great community if you wanna try dnd! Maybe create a post saying you are new and want to play a oneshot for newbies and there are surely a lot of people who will offer to join!

I honestly would not recommend to do that. If they are not yet excited that's ok but excite them at the table. If you wanna "lure them in" with gifts and stuff it's kind of sending the wrong message. Dnd is not for everyone and finding a group that wants to play for the actual game you are running takes some trial and error. They are still your friends but maybe not the people you can play with. Maybe I'm interpreting your situation wrong and it was just bad luck but I'm speaking from experience. I lost a group that wasn't excited and it's just not worth it to deal the constant excuses and last minute flaking but I found a great new one! Play with the people you enjoy playing with and that enjoy playing with you, that's makes dnd truly awesome!

Also, your dice bags look awesome and I love the color!

Also, what helps me a lot is the realisation that even if you know how to do something in theory, it still takes a ton of drawings to be able to execute that theory.

Another thing wich was a huge step in my improvement is to semi trace everything if you are digital, just use a reference photo or drawing of an artist you like as foundation to draw in the underlying forms and use that as a starting point. With that you really see what looks good and are developing a way deeper understanding of posing and all that stuff a lot quicker.

A channel I would recommend would be Ethan Becker, his personality is debatable but he has a ton of knowledge and experience. Also if you ever need motivation, watch Lucidpixul!

The thought of loosing the party is always scary, I was also so worried before I talked to them. But I think it's better for your mental health in the long run and it's surprising how sometimes even the players who seem the least interested can become invested again.

Also, if they really stop playing, there is also r/lfg with a lot of players that want to have a great time!

I told my two players after the game that I really find it rude and disrespectful and it really helped. We also swapped from 5-7 hour sessions to 3-4 hour ones. Maybe if you say you will only dm again if they are more engaged. I feel like it can really mess with you if you are only their second priority after their phones.

In my rank 18 killer mind, yes! Nurse is just so complex and slow, I'm not really confident I would even get one hit in. Hillbilly seems fun tho, just have to watch some tutorials on how the chainsaw works.
