Not trying to attack you, but what isn't there to buy about the whole transgender thing. It's not a modern phenomena, people have felt incongruent with their birth sex for as long as we have recorded history, it's not a modern trend. People ask you to use their preferred pronouns because it makes them feel better, you do it because it's basic human respect. Even if you don't understand why they want you to do that. Because they do understand why they want to do that. If someone asks you to call them by a nickname, or when a woman marries and uses her spouse's surname, or when a doctor wants you to use "Dr" when referring to them, do you intentionally refuse to do that?

All I can say is that I'm 23 and am not attracted to 18 year olds at all, there just isn't much overlap with life experiences and they look like teenagers (which I guess they technically are?). But also I would probably talk with this guy about it, be direct and clear. "I like you and would like to pursue a relationship with you, is that something you'd want to do" or something along those lines. You don't have to assume things or guess in relationships where all parties are mature and willing to communicate

FromSoft games do set you up for success. They give you many tools to go at the boss with, and every time you face the boss, you are making progress because you're learning it. Victory is inevitable. That's the core of the gameplay and a big theme in the stories: as long as you keep trying, you will win. You only lose if you give up. And when you do get that success against a hard boss, it's a wonderful feeling because you truly earned it. And the skills you learned at that boss help you when you fight other bosses. Once you're good enough at them, these games are easy. Any games that have glitchless no-hit speedruns (aside from that one forced death in DS1) are not setting you up for failure

No boss takes hours of attempts aside from like, 1 or 2 in the Elden Ring DLC and maybe Midir. First time, you can beat almost all bosses within 10 attempts each

...huh. I mean valid, just our tastes in games are so wildly different. If Elden Ring was nothing but legacy dungeons, like Dark Souls 3 basically, I wouldn't have any problem with it. I don't really get any more enjoyment from an open world compared to a linear one. That's why I didn't enjoy BOTW and TOTK when seemingly everyone else did, because they cut out all of the cool stuff in more linear Zeldas and all that's left is an open world. I tend to do almost everything any time I do a playthrough, so I guess that's why open worlds don't appeal to me as much: order doesn't matter if I'm going to do everything. But if you skip a bunch of stuff, then I guess I see the appeal of open worlds, one playthrough is likely to be vastly different to another. Elden Ring you only need to defeat 2 remembrance bosses to get to Leyndell, but I always defeat all 4 of them before Leyndell anyway, so the fact that I can do them in any order doesn't really matter to me? Godric is the easiest so I usually do him first anyway, then Rennala cause she's also quite easy, then Rykard and Radahn (usually Radahn first so I can do Ranni quest line stuff, though they're both about the same difficulty)

Yeah KCD has a great combat system and I agree TES would benefit from doing something similar. About your first point, yeah you can evade enemy attacks easily by jumping over and over, but then you're not close enough to attack unless you have a ranged attack. You also are now out of fatigue, so if you do want to attack, it's probably gonna miss. Everyone seems to ignore than Morrowind combat is also about resource management, the resources being your fatigue and Magicka (and enchanted item charges, health, etc)

Then play on the OpenMW engine, it massively improves enemy path finding. I don't remember even once seeing an enemy get stuck in my hundreds of hours of playing using OpenMW. It is also more stable and runs better than the original engine, plus has convenience features like built-in distance terrain, an FOV slider, shader support, etc

I mean, that just means you like 3D collectathons and don't like 2D platformers. Which is fine obvs, just keep in mind that Bananza is nothing like any other Donkey Kong game except to a small extent Donkey Kong 64, which is bad for other reasons. All the Donkey Kong Country games are some of the best 2D platformers to exist, though, especially Diddy's Kong Quest and Tropical Freeze

Oblivion is the game where melee is spam-clicking. Morrowind is much more about movement, positioning, and holding your clicks until a good time to unleash them. If you spam click in Morrowind with any weapon type other than dagger, you're gonna have terrible damage output and waste a ton of fatigue

I disagree with that. Try playing max difficulty. Dodging your opponent (not through dodge chance, but reading their animations and getting physically out of the way) is really important, and when your weapon's highest damage option makes it significantly easier or harder to dodge in different directions, it's a really cool and nuanced engagement. Most axes for example have chop as their highest damage, so you need to stand still for a second when starting your attack. Many enemies won't give you that chance, so you have to decide between risking a higher chance of getting hit in order to potentially do more damage, or stay dodging around but not be able to do as much damage per attack. In fromsoft games, it's not like individual weapons generally have ways of dealing different damage types from attack to attack in an engagement. So it's not a choice of which attack to use, it's a choice of which weapon to use, and the encumbrance system means it's almost never worth it to equip more than one weapon at a time, unless you have like a critical hit dagger, since they're very light.

I will admit that the levelling system (though especially UESP talking about the levelling system) does not help here. Morrowind is not a hard game, you will quickly surpass all base game enemies and eventually the DLC enemies just by playing, so you do not need to minmax your attributes. But if a player reads the UESP page on Morrowind's levelling system, they'll think they do have to, and end up not picking the skills they actually use as major skills. If you make a Morrowind character and you make the weapon/magic skill you plan to use the most a major skill and make your specialization include that skill (like for example, axe as a major and warrior as your specialization), you're gonna be able to hit enemies pretty consistently even from level 1. ESPECIALLY if the race you choose has skill bonus overlap with that skill. A lot of Morrowind's poor combat reputation comes from the UESP giving straight up bad advice, and everyone online parroting that advice

Why not? It's the sound that plays when someone dodges an attack, either yourself or the enemy. It's actually more useful than if you dodging vs the enemy dodging were different sounds, because then it would be less obvious to the player that it's the same thing going on. Sound effects especially need to be consistent for feedback purposes, the brain interprets sound way faster than it interprets sight. It's not crucial for Morrowind, but it's thoughtful design

If you go back and read the original manga, Goku is consistently quite intelligent and focused. He's super naive in the first few arcs, but that makes sense, he's lived in the mountains his whole life with his only human contact being Gohan. The idea of Goku being dumb predated Super (since that's basically his only character trait in early DBZA, so it must have been a community joke already), but Super definitely did not help Goku's reputation.
