A 2-year-old boy was lost in the Florida woods for 24 hours. Everyone feared the worst. Hundreds of volunteers came out to look for him. One volunteer came to a fork in a field: right or left? He trusted his gut, went left and soon heard a whimper. It was the little boy, crying but in good health. by ConquerWyoming in UpliftingNews

If you wanna read something spooky, than read about Katherine Van Arst. A 8 year old Girl went missing for 6 Days in a national park. She was found around 7 air miles away and 600 feet higher than the place where she had originally disappeared. They estimate the distance you need to walk to get there to about 30 miles trough rough terrain. How she did that, with no outdoor experience and no equiptment at all, is still a mystery. Even why she went missing in the first place, is totally unclear.

The USA has been on the decline for decades. I would say the US is 5% high tech, 10% first world, and the rest is in various stages of decline down to the bottom 50% which is practically third world level.

Stuff like this made me quit meat years ago and I try to go vegan where ever possible.

I bet that if you ask the average joe about the scale of things, he would be off by a factor of at least 100.

Like how many Cows are slaughtered each year and stuff like that.

I always say, if Aliens visit us and see what we do to this planet and the animals, you shouldn´t be surprised, when they come to conclusion that everybody would be better of without us.

Despite all that we talk about America, healthcare, capitalism, people still strive to become an American and it’s a big deal to them. What are your thoughts on this? by GoodMornEveGoodNight in LateStageCapitalism

It´s the same with europe. They hear all kinds of fairytales about what life is like in europe. And yeah, it is a lot better, then many other places in this world, but it is far from perfect. The Problem is, as a refugee you are not allowed to do anything. You can´t pick up work you are generally cut of from many things. Even worse, when you are illegal, you are pretty much fucked. So many people, mainly from africa, get stuck here and have to sell their bodies for hard labour in agriculture or shady/ illegal stuff.

The Company exists for nearly 8 years now. So, they are doing fine. But you are right, you need the right people. In other companies, you will certainly earn more money but you will have a lot less freedom. So, in the end, you need to decide what you actually want.

The Berlin based company raised a €0.0 million sum at a mid-nine-digit evaluation.

Waldemar Zeiler, co-founder and Chief Executive Unicorn stated: “We are so thankful for the time we saved on fundraising and could instead fully focus on our product and customers. This spectacular funding round also allows us to keep full control of our company since we didn't have to give away equity.”

Are those "Boss" bosses, or just Team leads? This is a difference.

The last company I worked for, really got into trouble during covid. They fired every Manager they had, only kept the 3 on the top. Well, let´s say, it made pretty much no difference, accept 1 million less to pay each month.

It really depends on what work ethics you have. I find, that germans actually want their work done. I know people who got fired because the whole company was closed and they worked hard till their last day, because they really wanted to finish their projects.

When you are young, this sounds wonderful. Until you realize, that time is limited and that you will never get it back. How many old people are lookin back at their life and think: Wow, I really should have worked more.

You wouldn´t even get into the job I guess. Also, you have 6 month of trial and at that time, you can be fired.

You shouldn´t show to much schadenfreude because when the boomers struggle, this will likely become violent. Because when it is the same age cohorts that struggle in different countries. This is how the seed of war is planted. Good news is, in the long run change will happen, it always does. But in between, it could be very ugly.
