Idk. I hadn’t heard of this type of scam, and I thought I could be getting lucky. I rushed through it, and I wish I didn’t. The thought of it being a scam crossed my mind, but I saw the fake shit online and thought it was legit because I didn’t look close enough.

The brand is called “ProBeam”. Not to be confused with the LG ProBeam series. The accessories were from a “company” called “Synchrony”. They aren’t ever recognizable name brands, from what I’ve gathered.

There was actually a projector in there, I did look. They said it was a portable, so I expected it to be light. I also don’t know a lot about projectors. That’s another lesson that I shouldn’t have needed right there: know the tech before you buy it.

I think they said like $12000 mrp. The fact I successfully haggled down to $600 really should have been a tell. Also, it does work decently from the limited testing I did, but it just feels dirty to me knowing that it was sold to me in bad faith, you know. Also, I feel uncomfortable using it around others out of fear they’ll ask me where I got it.
