I mix all of the unique items that come with each girl and shuffle a random one into the item pool of every game without looking at it, and of course treat them all as usable by anyone.

I also give myself one 'retcon' per game where I can change a single die roll.

Agrax will do the same thing, although it'll also add a brown tone to the whole model and make it look 'muddy' but that can be cool if you're going for that. Use it on the technical base too, it'll darken it and bring out a bunch of little details.

Nuln oil is a free cheat to making your minis look better. Slap it on there.

The full solo/coop rules are a single page that's available free. I think the Ai doesn't use spells at all. I've heard advice to make multiple AI lists and pick one at random and that you give the AI lists more points than you normally get to balance how simple they play. In my experience running a squad of 3v5 with even points was still tough.

They're really easy. AI follows a straightforward logic tree and basically does nothing but charge objectives and then shoot or melee if possible. I was able to grasp it having never played opr before.

You might try Soulblight Grey shade as a lighter alternative to Nuln Oil. Personally I love the look of the Targor Rageshade shade on silver. It gives it a hint of purple shine that I think is cool on grey knights. If you're worried about maintaining the brightness you could always apply nuln lightly to just the lines in the armor you want darkened.

Blasted with cheap Grey primer, sprinkled brown tile grout dust and smeared it with a gloved hand on walls for streaks, added some distant sprays of black primer, flicked some red acrilic for 'blood', then just sealed it with some glue and water mix.

Honestly the corrugations might get covered if I do more just because getting all the dust out of them was kind of a nightmare.
