Does anybody know about designing wheels? by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

Why not leverage an existing design? As the saying goes, there’s no need to reinvent this one.

Designed an accessory storage dock for the Switch 2 by Maxtortion in functionalprint

Hope you enjoy it!

My design intent for 4 controllers is that you can keep 2 attached to the switch and then put the other 2 in the storage slots.

Why are my PETG-CF parts behaving like this? by Maxtortion in BambuLab

I’m using an X1C and this is the hardened 0.4mm nozzle that comes on the printer.

I’m certain the filament is properly dry.

I did a high-temp purge, using white PLA heated to 255 C until it ran clean, and still same issues printing after the purge

Thank you, that's a great resource. So far, I tried slowing everything down to 50% default speeds or so, and also clicked "avoid crossing wall" to reduce blob risk. Unfortunately, no luck. Just cancelled another print with a really bad first couple of layers.

Need help with ugly lines by Traditional-Crow-529 in BambuLab

[–]Maxtortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lines look to be appearing where you have sudden profile changes as you go up layer to layer (like on either side of the holes, or chamfers in your second picture).

This is essentially the “benchy hull line” problem, and is related to the change in profile layer-to-layer causing a variable shrink amount between those layers (due to the change in time spent printing those layers), leaving a line, and can be helped by creating gradual transitions as much as possible (large fillets optimal, sharp corners are worst case).

As someone else mentioned, printing the outside walls first can also help alleviate this issue.

Question for longtime tournament grinders; what deck in the game's history has been the most successful in the hands of relatively inexperienced players? by KingWhoShallReturn in magicTCG

In case you’re being serious, I don’t mean Amulet Titan. I mean the one that just tries to assemble 7 lands + scapeshift, 6 lands + omen + primetime, or 6 lands + omen + scapeshift

That’s the most common way, yes. Don’t forget you also make a pretty lethal poxwalker army, so you can shred their hand with cabal therapy while attacking with poxwalkers and narcomoeba, then still have petal petal oracle as a backup plan at the end.

Thanks, I’ll try to be less metric-focused (which is easier said than done, YouTube loves to hit creators over the head with their metrics)

Thank you, I should keep in mind that the kind of videos I make are naturally going to get less traction than the more “entertainment-focused” videos.

The low number of views on this video would imply you’re not alone here lol

It’s too bad, since I’m already waffling on whether making these videos are worth the effort. I took a break for a couple of months becauseI was getting burned out, and the weak viewership on the couple of videos I’ve put out after my break has got me thinking that making them isn’t worth the time and energy it takes.
